I don't like people coming at me the wrong way...So when they do, I voice my opinoion about it...& I don't like people talking shit to me...The only time you'll see me make these kinds of comments is when people are out of line...I just remind them where the line is...

Any other time, you'll see me offering suggestions / advice like all the other veteran enthusiasts / builders around here...As you'll see by going thru my other posts, I'm cool with everyone else around here...But I don't like someone belittling me & trying to talk down to me about anything I do...Especially not something I'm this passionate about...So yea, I'm going to put someone in their place if they try to pull that...

To answer one of your questions, I'm getting a 8ms on the same benchmark with my configuration (Areca ARC-1220 w/ 5 400gb RE2 in RAID 5).

But why don't you just call this thread what it is: ePeePee+1. Although your benchmark numbers seem kind of high for the drives, but who knows. Nice machines; you should care less about what other people think of them though...

To bad you couldn't wait for the HD3870 X2's. Rig looks sweet though, the stacker definately has something going for it, not to flashy like an antec 900, but not 'bland' either. Why the zalman btw? You've got your 780i mobo yet? And why will you only OC that e8400 to 3.5ghz and not to 4.0ghz like on the other mobo? Have you noticed anything 'usefull' about the 8gb of ram, just wondering, no trouble when oc-ing because you've got 4 sticks? Btw, there is no such card as a 9800gtx, it's codenamed g200, and I very much doubt it will be called anything like 9800gtx, I mean, we'll be seeing the 9800GX2 soon, which is just 2 g92's on 1 pcb. And the 9600gt is also a g92 derivative if I'm not mistaken, and the new 'g200' won't be out till at least after june.

I didn't want to wait for the 3870X2's, but they are nice cards & preliminary benchmarks are promising with infant drivers...

No, I haven't built the 780i board yet, but when I do, I'll try to get the same 4.0 Ghz OC I got w/ the Maximus Formula...I got the Zalman 9700 because it does a great job cooling the CPU, of course...No problems with 8 GB whatsoever...Not 1 hiccup...System is blazing fast & I'm extremely happy with its perfomance thus far...

There is still talk around the net that the 9800GTX will be released between late February & May...So my hopes are still alive...I'll give up on those hopes when my Step Up program runs out in 85 days...I still don't have much interest in the 9800GX2, but that could change over time...Who knows...

As far as your link goes, it only shows the 9800gx2 that's going to be faster then the current 8800ultra, the new 9800gtx is going to be on par with the current 8800ultra, so not really that exciting if you ask me, since the new 8800gts 512mb is almost as fast as the current 8800ultra or equally fast at MOST resolutions.

Secondly, Triple SLI drivers have already been rounded out of Phase 1 & a new phase is already in progress...And since you don't know how to read very well, I don't give a rat's ass about the games that came with the motherboards, hence why I mentioned them last...But you weren't able to figure that out...

Oh it's real alright...I'll have pics later...As far as gaming, I play the crap out of BF2 & I'm building these systems because I feel like it...Triple SLI will mature over time & as I said, I'll be using 8800 GT's until they're released...

Come on man that's 4 times you quoted the same post in one thread. Either you wanted to get your point across, do the exact same thing that he kinda did (insulting him), or just wanted to bump your thread.

Either way, your post about putting people in line is completely irrelevant in this situation and pissed me off. You openly asked for some criticism and critique and then when you got some, you proceeded to attack him because of it. And who the fuck are you to say you will put someone in line on an internet forum. Don't try to act all tough guy on an anonymous internet page.

Anyway, the system you've built looks great and I envy that you have so much money to spend on something you (and I) love.

I'm glad I got my point across...& it had nothing to do with bumping my thread...But I think you figured that out...

I'm also sure that you can figure out that asking for someone's thoughts on your system has nothing to do with asking to be insulted...

This argument can go on & on, but that's not what I'm looking for & I never asked for that...I've seen so many "Critique My System" threads & figured I'd do one of my own...I figured, what the hell, what's the worst that's going to happen?...Some guys are going to like it, some aren't...But I never expected this kind of turnout...But whatever...Something that was intended to be cool turned out to be pretty damn uncool...Ok, shit happens...

I was asking for comments about the individual components...Not asking someone to tell me I couldn't afford to build these systems & that I had no business thinking about upcoming technology / products...So take this response for what it's worth...You shouldn't be offended by it, but if you are, so be it...

I'd personally like to see this damn thread just end, to be honest...It's been more trouble than it's worth...Which is unfortunate...But it is what it is...Tempers are already heated enough on this thread, so there's no reason to make it worse...Yea, I jumped down someone's throat for pissing me off...So what...It's actually kinda funny...This was supposed to be a cool thread...Not everything goes according to plan...
