well, there is a very VERY good model that has 1GB + custom cooler and costs about 5$ more then the regular model. For the custom cooler it is worth it.

It will work, but with only 512MB enabled. (the rest will not be utilized). Nonetheless it will work

thanks for the replies. It's actually for a friend of mine, and I initially thought he would be better off with a 1GB in addition to the current 512mb. Well, no more 1GB then.
