I'm signed up again this year. 18.1 looks fun, I ran a couple rounds of it last night to feel it out. Hoping for 10-11 rounds when I run the full thing tonight.

I did it this morning: 242 Reps (7 rounds + 18)
I broke up the TTB, suffered through the dumbells and hammered on the row. Find a comfortable rhythm and stick with it until the last 6 mins or so and see what is left in the tank...

In the two rounds I tested last night, I did around 1:40 and 1:50. I think if I slow it to around 2:00 a round through about 8 rounds then hammer the last 5 mins or so I can do it. Holding the row pace at around 1500 cal/hr is going to be the critical piece.

Forgot to come and update after 18.1. Ended up going 333 reps, which was 10rd + 13. I was pretty content with that but wanted to retest, alas I had to catch a flight to India and had no opportunity.

Did 18.2 on Friday, went 7:31 and 235#. I don't think I'd do any better than that and now I'm sick so that score will stay.

Haha we all have different levels. It's taken me many years to get to where I am and there will always be someone better than you. No use judging against others, the only thing worthwhile is to judge against yourself.

Well... 18.3 is certainly a doozy.

2 rounds for time of:
100 double-unders
20 overhead squats
100 double-unders
12 ring muscle-ups
100 double-unders
20 dumbbell snatches
100 double-unders
12 bar muscle-ups

Time cap: 14 minutes

I have all the movements, but the double unders are gonna be a mixed bag and the ring muscle ups will be a grind. I don't think there's any chance I'll complete under the time cap.

Did the initial run last night, was 6 reps away from getting to the bar muscle ups (446 reps). I'm going to retest Sunday because I want to finish a full round and I think it's possible.

18.3 - fuck you double unders and I can't do muscle ups...

Feel you. Spent a decent amount of time working rings over the last year and polishing my bar muscle ups.

Retested today and got 458 (6 of the bar muscle ups) Really wanted a full round but my double unders were still trash today. Oh well.

I've done Diane before but between going out too hard on the hspu and the new height standard, I just couldn't get them done...

This was a nasty one. Got 3 reps into the 315# and was really hoping to complete them. Will try again Sunday if my shoulders feel OK.

Attempted again, didn't end up finishing the last set of 9 HSPU. Shoulder has been giving me trouble since all the muscle ups last week and my wrist feels strained from attempting this one on Friday so I'm not real surprised I didn't do any better. Oh well, on to the next!

18.5 was pretty intense

87 reps for me

I finished the round of 12 and did 15 thrusters and 6 ctb

That's a pretty solid score!

I did it last night as well, since I won't have another opportunity. Got 97 reps (7 thrusters into the 18). Probably could do a bit better with a re-test, but what's the point! Haha.

I was just looking at the leaderboard.
1. Rich Froening is at 11 - such a badass that he's still up there
2. It blows my mind how much Vellner drops down because he only cleaned 343lbs. I can't even deadlift that much...
3. Matt Fraser is a monster

It's amazing how consistent Matt has become. I have no doubt he'll continue his reign for at least another few years.
