hell, speak in english? lol...geez, your gonna b in for a rude suprise when ALL tHE NEW MOVIES will be in foreign languages (spanish, french, etc)

Geez, just cuz it WAS RATED A GOOD MOVIE doesn't mean it is in english. All the VERY GOOD, classic movies are not necessarily in english!

Even as a chinese person, Those flying and stuff is still off the wall for me; however,I believe this is a very good movie as a introduction to foreign (specifically chinese made tailored to american culture) movies. There is a life outside of the USA!

I know they do. I love kung fu movies. But as long as its in english its more enjoyable to watch. Now thats for me. Now if you or others have no problem with subtitles great. But for me if I'm paying money to see it in a theatre, I want to hear it in english.

ArkAoss: You need more hi-end VCRs I often FF crappy (recap) anime episodes that way.

when you watch subtitles, do you really focus on the subtitles? I notice that my eyes notice when the subtitles change, and then I scan it for like 1/2 sec, return to the picture, and for some magical reason my brain will register the whole meaning of the subtitle.

I don't notice that I'm reading the subtitles after a while. Even some films in english, I read the subtitles. You might have missed something that someone said, where the subtitles help. Life is Beautiful is a great movie, and I was so engrossed in the movie that I don't really remember if it was dubbed or if there were subtitles. I think there were subtitles because I vaguely remember hearing Italian. I don't think people should not see movies because the moviesn are not in their language. But that's just my opinion, people can do what they want. classy, you're paying to see a good movie. Just because the movie is not in English doesn't mean you won't enjoy it. Give it a chance and you might find that you enjoy it.

i saw this movie last summer in taiwan...and i understood all the chinese and stuff...i thought it was a pretty good movie...not enough fighting scenes though...to much drama for me...
if the movie was dubbed...it woulda sounded stupid..
much like "black mask" with jet li...this movie came out for a long time befre being released in the US...i thought the dubbed part killed the movie...i wanted to throw up...

i also watched "shanghi noon" in taiwan..it was in english with chinese subtitles....the weird part was...me and my brother cracked up laughing when everyone else just sat there...i guess its nice to be multi-lingual...

also...all american movies that come out there are in english...and no one complains about them...its just really hard to do a perfect translation and stuff....

i didnt know that crouching tiger hidden dragon was going to be released into the US...or else i woulda sneaked in a video camera...hehe...but much of my friends in the states already had ahem...illegal copies...of the movie...

i also wanted a poster real bad...the authentic ones...with chinese and everyting...but the only one i could find was going for $100...ah well....
ill find one online or something...
