try go in a compusa store, take their 120gb hd ($299) to the manager and ask to price match with bestbuy ($199). and if he wouldn't do it try calling the regional manager, but i suggest you to have some chill pills on hand just in case.

<< I went to BB today and I overheard an employee saying that they would be carrying Alienware computers very soon. Not too shabby considering Alienware uses name brand components. I would rather build a computer but for those just starting out it would be a much better choice then Compaq HP, E-machines or whatever crap they are selling now. >>

It's cheaper to buy your PC2100 memory at the Anandtech link to Crucial since you get free shipping and don't have send in those hated rebates. The price has gone up since when I bought 128 MB PC2100 in Oct. for $16.49 almost a full $10! If I didn't already have almost 2 GB of it just sitting around I would have bought more.

How do you figure? I got a 256MB stick of PC2100 for less than $37. That is not including the $10 rebate. Go check prices on the Crucial site, you might be surprised...

<< Sorry, forgot the details. I only saw PC133, not DDR. No, its not Kingston. It is Crucial, in Crucial packaging, with Crucial stickers on the ram. And yes, you pay a little more to not have to wait, and enjoy the benefit of on the spot exchange for 14 days after purchase if you recieve a defective stick.

I am a Manager for BB. If you purchase any computer components or parts, you have 14 days to return exchange. The ONLY way you would be denied a return on an installed item is if it is incomplete, or damaged.

As far as it being some sort of inferior memory, I really don't think Crucial would even consider tarnishing the fine quality brand that they have worked so hard to build.

I will get the SKU's if I remember.

What is this 14 days return? That's only on like monitors, computers and cameras. I've brought sound cards, video cards, hard drives and the like back way over 14 days. Why should it be any different with ram? It's not on the list of only 14 day return policy. And some of you guys who said this work there?
And as a manager too HA HA what a joke..... It's 30 days people for ram, not 14.

Just bought a 256Mb stick at the BB in New Hampshire.
PC2100 DDR $34.99 and got a $10 rebate on it also.
$24.99 for this in tax free NH is what I call a great deal.
