I have had a stick of OCZ Platinum 2 1GB DDR2/800 fail after 9 months of use. They require 2.1v just to operate at their rated speed. Even actively cooled, they will live a very short life and RMA'ing with Crucial is much easier than OCZ.

The new "A" revisions of Crucial are now out.
So -804 is now BL2KIT25664AA80A (PC2 6400)
And -1065 is now BL2KIT12864AA106A (PC2 8500)
etc.
And 2.2V is now 2.0V
So you gotta be real careful when ordering from NE or buying at B&M
The new stuff is supposed to not fail like the previous from bios/cache probs, and is more mobo compatible.
Been buying other brands for months, but at this price it may be worth a shot to try them again.

Yup, I agree. I had no problem RMAing every Ballistix stick I ever bought.......sold every one of them sealed on eBay. I'm not sure they even lasted 9 months..
