I got a set way back when they were really $280 w/ the rebate!! I love them!!

Great OC'ing sticks although I don't currently have a CPU that will run them 1:1 at DDR2-1000. I run them DDR2-920 daily.

Best sticks I've owned since my PDP +XBLK PC-4800 that would do DDR-1200 with my Opteron.

And for about $30 more you can get the 'Tracer' version of this memory as well....if blinky lights are to your fashion.

I got a pair of Tracers too. Terrific sticks, they overclock like crazy w/o any voltage increase. I'm very tempted to grab the yellow ones this time

MIRs with Crucial are no hassle at all.

Assuming a mild overclock that will not max out either set, how would these compare to the DDR2-800 Ballistix at 4-4-4-12? Would the tighter timings make any noticeable difference?

SuprePi gave me the same results with 4-4-4 and 5-5-5 @ 950 MHz with 6400 ram, C2D. Absolutely no perceivable real world performance. I would forget timings altogether with Intel and concentrate on maximizing cpu and memory bandwidth....
