Umm, why are you comparing the price of two different products? If you wish to provide a counter-example to my statement you'll need to provide an example of a specific stick of ram that showed an upward long-term trend in price. Hence, what was the price of a 32mb stick EDO-RAM when it was initially introduced into the market versus the price 2 years after introduction?
Interestingly enough, some products can revert upward in price once the broad market no longer uses them as economies of scale in production can no longer be taken advantage of.
