It would be faster, though I don't have a lot of data on x25m g2 160gb RAID 0 drives. I suspect that exdeath, groberts, and a few others in memory/storage forums have more info.

I wasn't thinking clearly earlier. I saved my single disk as-ssd images on my old ssd, which is now disconnected and doesn't play nice with the new setup. Here's the 2nd RAID upload, however:

I'm not sure how much faster the 160 gb is vs the 80 gb, but from looking at this I can tell you that the crucial m4 256gb is faster. I was around 510 read and 270 write in sequentials, though I can't remember the other scores. Good numbers indeed. I'm not too interested in benches tho as I don't bench. What I'm more interested in is what real world differences do you notice? Do your games load faster? Boot faster? Something else?

I know a big annoyance of mine was that my G2 didn't really load games faster than a spindle. I figured that's because both actually have the same seq read and both are SATA2 but these M4s seem to have twice the seq read, so do games actually load twice as fast?

Trying to be conservative with cash but if an M4 will load games twice as fast as my G2 (which the numbers seem to suggest), then that is very worth it for me.

Yes, my setup now, as mentioned, has a huge real world difference. Everything is quite fast with even my x25m (and I can tell because I also use a laptop and two other computers that don't have ssd's), but as I stated earlier, the difference between this setup and the x25m feels about as great as the difference between the x25m and my hdd rigs. I don't know that you'll feel enough of a difference if you just go from 1 x x25m g2 to 1 x m4 256gb, but I can saw for sure that if you go to 2 x 256 gb m4 in RAID 0 then you'll be VERY happy.
