Actually I started crucial deal thread a month ago already

for people with problem, try using netscape, start with a new profile, and go to /webpromo at the first time.

i see some people say that they could detect you've bought before and charge you 10% off price when check out, can someone confirm this?

also, don't go thru motherboard selection page, it will just show cas2, they want you to pay more to get cas2. go thru advanced selection, and select 168pin, you'll see all.

Hey does anyone know if this stuff CT16M64S4D75 will run stable at CL2 133?? or higher?
I am concidering getting 256MB of it 2 dimms so i can upgrade my puters but would like to know how stable/good this stuff is...

No one will be able to answer that for you exocarp. Overclocking is NEVER guaranteed. You should expect to be able to, but you may not be able to. Unless it is rated at pc133 cl2, there is no guarantee from crucial it will run that fast. Every one here could say that it will, but it's not there claim to make...it's crucial's. Do like all the other O/Cer's here, and take a chance. I did with the 256 pc133 7.5ns memory chip, and it is running fine at cl2.

thanks for the reply. I did jump in and ordered two of em. Hopefuly they will be able to run at CL2....Wish me luck.
One quick question though in general Curcial is a good Manufacturer right? No problems with RMAing stuff ect. And their products are solid?

Exocarp, I think of Crucial as being one of the BEST. These are top notch chips. If these chips don't run 133 @ cl2, it will supprise more than just you and me. I haven't seen anyone return any of there chips yet, so I can't say to how their RMA's work. People have commented on having their price adjusted if the price is lowered soon after a purchase, but I wouldn't dare think of returning the 256 mB Crucial stick I that I got for $137 PM from staples. It is running at 133 mhz cl2 and that's as fast as I've tried with my AMD board. I am tempted to put it in a ASUS CUSL2 board and see how fast it will run at CL2.

cl=cas latency. and i don't think the cas3 is more expensive...look again.

it was more on the page I was looking at, but I realized one was more because of being ECC and the other was more because it was 7.5ns instead of the 8ns cl2
