Since they charge tax in IL I no longer buy from Crucial, but wait till it goes on Newegg
The Government is presuring online retailers more than ever to charge sales tax so before you know it, neveryone will be paying sales tax for the Crucial outlet.

Not necessarily. Sure, lots of companies will cave and start charging tax for everyone. Hell, Wal-Mart already crumbled and others will follow. But a huge number of online companies will fight taxes with their dying breath. As more companies do start taxing more business will flow to the e-tailers that don't. There's a pretty big financial incentive for online companies to not tax, so most won't do it until the feds break down their office doors and force them to.
bummer dude. so it goes.Originally posted by: Orbius
