Nice timings for an AMD build, however the timings are less important for Intel C2D builds. That being said it is only 667 ram. Is it better to get ram with looser timings at 800?

Yea for c2d you'd probably want 800, funny how ram prices shot up when conroe released..

The problem with these Crucial is that they require 2.2V. Most if not all MB for Conroes have 1.8V default.

Unless you can get into BIOS and set the VDIM to 2.2V your system will not boot. The new ASUS P5B-E can't even get to 2.2V. Its max is 2.1V.

i wasn't aware of that. most ballistix require 2.2v -- 1.9v for smaller sizes [that who buys?].

Hey,
I noticed that your rig is using the Gigabyte DS3 and OCZ PC2_6400, what is the voltage on it? Did you have to boot on one stick to set the voltage higher before you can run dual channel?
