they sold 1 million copies, they did much BETTER then I expected them to... all the while mouthing off their customers, accusing them of stealing their game instead of buying. (has nothing to do with it being unplayable, unfinished plot wise, and buggy)

i think they will do much worse on consoles, they have no business sense and EA will just use them up

And people wonder why I say Cry* whatever is horribly inefficient. If they "target" hardware that doesn't exist to get the quality they want, then they really aren't doing a very good job optimizing anything. The trick would be to develop for current or last gen hardware performance caps with visuals that far exceed anything that's out there. Crysis was an average game with average visuals that played below average on most machines. Yeah... that's quality stuff.

@SunnyD: yea that's the thing... people say in one post that crybaby engine is both very well optimized... and ahead of its time by targeting future hardware....
I am pretty sure that by definition those two contradict.

I wouldn't think they contradict because when software innovation outpaces capabilities of current hardware it promotes hardware innovation, a sort of competition that we can all benefit from.
