I don't know.. For that chart to keep trending that way won't we need to see $200 bitcoins again soon now we hit 10,000,000 difficulty?

What's the best performance/cost card these days? Does the 7790 crank out a disproportionate amount due to GCN 1.1?

I've gone from earning 0.1 to 0.08 coins per day with the latest difficulty jump. Not gonna be able to hold out too much longer without more price increases! Go BTC, go!

I wonder how the LTC to BTC profit ratio will look after this change.

7790 is pretty nice. Mine cranks out slightly more than 300mhash at 1225MHz on stock volts. And it stays cool and quiet in a small HTPC case. I have the Asus DirectCU model.

Hmm, 12% difficulty increase. That is actually the smallest difficulty increase we have had since March. I wonder if some GPU miners are quitting already?

Or maybe the slow roll-out of ASIC is just too slow to push difficulty up any faster.

AM3+ works with Phenom II right?

How many GPU's can I run off this board?

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813128514

Says "Up to 2 VGA cards are supported" I'm assuming in CF/SLI, but since I don't plan to CF/SLI anything, will that effect weather the boards x4 lanes pick up any additional cards?

Supported CPU
CPU Socket Type
AM3+
CPU Type
FX / Phenom II / Athlon II / Sempron 100 Series
FSB
2600MHz Hyper Transport (5200 MT/s)

The 3rd slot should accept a video card no problem, it's physical 16X and electrically 4X - Don't expect a ton of Bandwidth, but you shouldn't lose much at the same time with another 7950.

Should be fine with up to 3 dual slot cards. I have the UD7 and while I could run 4 cards, the temps were just too high...ended up selling my other 6950.

It will be fine. x1 is enough bandwidth for mining.

Yeah I'm using the P55D Evo right now...

Using the blue x16 slot and the black x4, works fine for me and temps are much more manageable over a prolonged period with the extra gap between the cards.

Whats the longest PCIe extension can you buy, and where do you get it from (US)?

I might try for 3 in the one board before going to a second board, but I'd really need to get the middle card out of there.

I bought some riser cables on ebay. Can't recall which vendor I bought from though, and quality was debatable, though they did generally work while I used them.

I haven't mined in months. Would it be worth it to mine with a 7950 on colder days?

It's about $3.5/day for bitcoins (550Mh/s). $4.5/day for litcoins (500kh/s). More if you overclock - these are just rough estimates.

I can't find any PCIe extenders, at least none with molex... I assume since these aren't quality multi gpu boards like ws revo I had with molex/pcie connectors on the board I'd want the molex version...

Ah well

At 550Mh/s, at the current difficulty level, how many hours would it take to forge a bitcoin?

37 to 38 days if you pull 250 watts and if your power is 12 cents a k watt you would earn about 100 bucks in a month.

this is why the best card today to use as an addon is the 7790. you can get them for about 120 with a rebate and selling the game code. they hash at 300 mh/s and 80 watts if they are an addon.
so they earn 68 bucks in 38 days but at 120 cost you are almost even in 70 days.

while the 7950 takes about 105 days at 250 watts and 12 cents a k watt

and they run cool enough to add into most rigs without worrying about cooling capacity

the 7790 will also run 4 cards to a mobo I have some 4 slot evga's and I hash about 1190 to 1220 on them they pull 380 watts a rig 320 for the cards and 60 for the pc + fans. these are dedicated miners . open boards in my garage.

Is anyone else here mining Feathercoins? I'm racking up a pile of them pretty quickly, and they're starting to show up on the currency exchanges now.
