CGWatcher is hard to set up but doesn't cripple your hash rate at all. It's just an external input for CGminer.

Never tried with the iGPU but check your clocks while watching a Youtube vid or using flash on your browser.

It looks nice, but I think I can manage just fine from command line.
If I specify two pools and the first one is down, cgminer automatically switches to the second. Question: does it ever switch back to the first one?

In CGWatcher if you make it reset every 4 hours for example it goes back to the default one.

Right, so cgminer can only switch to the secondary pool, but that's all it can do?

Also, what do you guys think about sending coins directly to coinedup.com? Is it safe? The site somehow works on google account basis without any password, and I am pretty confused, and no idea what to think about it.

I'd be pretty careful. I'm waiting to hear about it being cleaned out completely.

Someone already lost 0.5 BC (mentioned on reddit) since the same login worked for two users. I agree it's a pretty questionable site and likely a target.

I think it's down because of the focus switching to Dogecoin. I know, it sounds troll. But there is so much focus on this coin right now.

I haven't seen much or actually anything in the media about dogecoin. Is it popular beyond a few forums? (Granted it's at 6x the hashing power since approximately Saturday AM so it is booming)

I doubt it. Dogecoin doesn't even show up in the top 20 list of cryptocoins by market cap right now.

so timing. such slow.

wow.

Seriously, if I could figure out this pool software crap, I'd have it running on one of my servers. I was at it for about 4 hours yesterday before I found the nearest wall and put my head through it. It's like they don't make documentation for this crap on purpose or something.

Actually you have kind of hovered into my difficulty.

I cant find the config file to edit.. ???

I just downloaded the zip.
Extracted it and started the wallet and it started mining after it was done syncing.

Where actually is the config file.
Could you tell me please.

And as to you question, try looking at around page 26 or 27 of the blog i posted the link to.

A guy has posted his config settings.
You just need to change the password.

And if it is the one that you posted then I think you will need to change the username to you wallet receiving address.
As that is what I changed in the config when I started primecoin on beeeeer pool.

And also change the password.
Without the config, mine just stood there for an hour not connecting to the network to sync up. Also, it would not want to start mining. Now that I added the config file (memorycoin.conf) to the wallet directory, it runs fine. It synced up, and I was able to start mining after a while.

I changed the password and I changed the "rpcuser" to my wallet address.

We will see how things go now.
Stupid luckyminers went offline at night, so I lost seven hours already. That sucks ass. I am doomed not to get any profit from this.
And my damn balance is still 19k coins. Even with random rewards I should have few times that mining in a pool.
I should have stayed with ltc.

My rig went down too. I only left one up for doge though. I still managed to scrap up 23k coins overnight with about 600kH/s.

I'll have to setup that config file, that's a really good guide.

Oh, so CGWatcher is basically an alternative to guiminer? Doesn't that lower your hashrate, as numerous sources say?

No, all it does is give you an easier overview and control for cg miner. It does not impact your hashrates and you still have to launch cg miner as you would if you did not use cg watcher. Except that you can do it with a push of a button, rather than double clicking the bat file, but my point is that you still need a bat file.

It's been said that the official wallets are the safest place to keep your coins. Try not to keep them in pools or online exchanges since they are huge targets.

Figures, I made it into the doge pool at netcode but for some reason I'm not hashing, and of course it waits until I'm at work to go stupid on me. At least I'm not loosing huge rates until my new 270 card comes in the next couple days.

I'm getting about 2.2 hashes per minute mining on my i7 4770k @ 4.1GHz...

For some odd reason when I bump it up to 8 threads it negatively impacts my radeon 7970 hashrate. It makes it jump from 150-300... When I take it down to 4 threads I get 60% CPU usage but at least I'm back at 650kH/s constant on my 7970.

What gives D:

Your GPU needs CPU time too. You have to remember, even the scrypt mining still has backend work that needs to be done, moving stuff to and from memory and across the bus, fetching stuff from the network and sending stuff back to it. If you're pegging 100% CPU calculating primes or whatever, you're going to impact your GPU's hashrate while it stalls waiting for CPU time.

There's a reason why I'm only running 4 threads on mine.

Yeah netcodepool is probably the largest one. I signed up on most of them so I could pick and choose later. Was on cryptovalley for awhile. Around 500 workers. But netcodepool has about 1800.
