Anyone else having problems with BTC-e? When I go to withdraw my Bitcoins it says "You input the wrong amount for withdrawal!"

yep you must enter 0.5 not .5 or 0.8 not .8 it needs the 0. or it does what you typed ' you input the wrong amount '. believe it or not I asked the same question on this thread about 1 year ago. LOL

Probably a dumb question, but what would you recommend I start mining now using a 6970? I used to mine BTC back in the day and paid for a few upgrades but have not mined consistently for well over a year. Now I'm thinking of jumping back in with at least one machine. Would it make sense to hit DOGE or LTC?

Rolling the dice on earthcoin. They have some nice graphics, but none of the humor of doge.

I stopped mining it. Their mechanism to re-target difficulty every block doesn't really benefit early miner at all, combined with their 2% premined, NO THANK YOU

LTC is a safer bet, but DOGE coin has quite a bit of potential. Depends on your risk preference. If you are risk-taking -> DOGE FTW, if you are risk-averse, LTC.

Yeah, that coin landed with a loud thud. Oh well.

Take a look at middlecoin, multipool, or hashco (they all mine multiple scrypt-based coins, whatever is most profitable now).

Premine (pre-mine) means some guy made an alt-coin based on bitcoin. Say, with a limit of 100 million coins will ever be mined. But before it's ever released to the public, the guy reserves 25 million of them for himself, in the hopes they ever become worth something, in which case the guy dumps some or all of the 25 million coins. This depresses the price and screws the miners.

Doge is probably a different case. Having no pre-mine is just one of its feature, but because of the silly doge meme, it hits demographics that other coins can't reach.

One day I was on reddit and some girls showed their naked pictures to beg for Doge, there was even one who went as far as selling her virginity for some Doge. Not sure if it will last, but it is certainly quite interesting. Perhaps a lot of people aren't very practical....

Gaycoin would be a good follow up to dogecoin. The guy from Katamari Damacy could be it's mascot. Flaming prices. Much fashion. Super!

This could actually catch on and make a couple people millions. Not being sarcastic.

hype/speculation. it just happens to have a certain formula that attracts people already into cryptocurrencies. we KNOW it's hot thing for the moment. which it will be. then it will crash, BUT... it will actually stabilize to a higher than previous value.

then we will look at it again and be like hmmmmmmm..... maybe it will go up again? let me buy 1,000,000, DGC and just sit on it.

You should have been on /g/ last week. People were sticking things into their butts and pooping on their hands for doge...

Sold most of my doge yesterday to buy bitcoin next (NXT), second bitcoin generation is appealing, this thing is rising fast on coinmarketcap etc...Bought a little worldcoin also just in case.

Btw, made 600 euros selling just 400 000 doges on ebay in less than 6 hours. Straight to paypal.

I still think that we need a JesusCoin. It's time to go after that untapped Christian conservative demographic! Let's move that collection plate into the 21st century

Damn, R9290's power consumption is highly sensitive to temps, shove 20W at the wall since i removed the backplate and lowered temps. Mining below 70°C in open air.

Are you underclocking, undervolting, overclocking, or at stock? What were the temps before removing it?

Not sure I should be wasting my time on any of these anymore. Have just another file on my computer full of worthless coins.
I stopped mining it yesterday and don't want to touch it in any way or form again, but I spent a week on it, so I do want to turn it into something... but apparently I missed the exchange train - unless it will go back up soon.

yes i'm usually underclocked and undervolted, core at 900mhz@1.175V, memory is at stock. My R9 290 is an Asus one so i can undervolt with asus GpuTweak. Removing the backplate gave me around 8-10 degrees less i'd say. But again, it's open air. Fan at 55%. Temps and power consumption lower again a little if you rise the fan speed, but the noise becomes annoying.

I missed it too. Have over 2 mil DOGE, about 20 LTC and a handful of BTC. My problem is that I don't have much time to watch the trade values with work and personal life being so busy. The markets are so volatile that you need time to actually watch and correctly trade coins around to maximize their value.

It went up a little bit, like 0.00000085/BTC, but I can't remember what the recent max was. I think like 0.00000150 or something. I have to make up my mind about some specific number and just trade when it gets there.

Meanwhile, I'm back at LTC mining in the background.
