Yeah, I don't think I've ever gotten a block LTC/doge mining for the last 3 months. doge revenue went down really bad, especially before the block reward went down. Now it's back up on the rise which is good.

Currently looking at some established but older coin with a low difficulty that's already traded on multiple exchanges to see what kind of total BTC return I get.

Karmacoin is looking OK. Diff: 19. Volume: 80 BTC
Netcoin. Diff: 14. Volume: 280 BTC
Topcoin. Diff: 2. Volume: ??

TOP would be fun.... I'd like to get on Sunny's pool, but no one is on there for TOP.

You missed the boat for TOP.

The thing about that coin is the 2 day block reward halving. Block rewards are already down to something like 17.5k' when they originally came out they were something like 2,000,000. I'm sitting on a pile of TOP waiting for the exchange rates to go up to around 10+ satoshi. Needless to say whatever happens, even at current exchange rates I spent about half a day and will walk away with a significant amount of money.

Karmacoin is all but dead. It's in the land of "speculator coin".

Netcoin still has moments where it's worth mining.

Roger that. I'm mining for sh!ts and giggles, running calculations, etc. Maybe I'll point them @ NET because that looks like it has legit volume.

Also, DOGE, is still OK to mine even though the reward halved since the diff went down.... as other have stated repeatedly.

PandaCoin will have 100,000,000,000 (100 billion) coins in total.

A 3% premine means 3 billion coins are already premined and in the hands of the *cough* IPO holders *cough* (read: The dev) before ANYONE gets to mine a single coin.

That's 2550 BTC worth of PandaCoins sitting in the hands of ... somebody ... before anybody in the general population gets a single PandaCoin.

Odds are much of it was actually sold for MORE than what the current PandaCoin exchange rate is at. Someone got filthy rich with this coin, and it definitely ain't any of you.

Sorry guys. Hype & bullshit wins most of the time. Pandacoin wins (for the time being). Suck it up, buy in and sell to the suckers before it crashes. Or not, *shrug*, you lose out like I did when I decided to be lazy w/ VTC & MAX launches.

Still mining TOP.... looks to be about 50% as much revenue as DOGE. Still need to look into MAX, but am too lazy.

Also, finally checked my power to the wall on my ITX steam box w/ a 7790. 120 watts total when mining. The CPU/Mobo pull ~80 easily.... it's getting 220 kH. That's crazy efficient. To bad they are so weak in total hash/density.

Just for the heck of it I decided to try a random coin at a difficulty of ~20 SOLO mining.

I saw that small pools with a few MH had found a couple blocks each day (~1-5) and thought it was worth a try SOLO mining. I tried for about 16 hrs and didn't find a block.

I've been debating how high you can solo mine and still find something. I suspect that a pool will prevail simply due to multiple miners are better than the single miner with equal hash? Perhaps not, it is likely simply due to luck.

The one thing I'm wondering about is the two difficulties. My local wallet was giving 1.4M difficulties and the coin difficulty was ~20. I read something about the difficulties before but need to read it again since it seems like the local wallet was giving extremely high difficulties.
