What do you think MINT price will be? Mining is kind of over in 4 weeks, rewards getting lowish already. After that people won't want to sell because you get rewarded just by keeping coins in your wallet. This will be interesting.

Only problem I see is the hefty pre-mine devs didn't tell what they'll do with it.

Trying to figure out why are people leaving MAX? The profitability is still better than anything else out there and it is far easier on the GPUs and power bill than mining Vert.

Sure, its waaaay down from where it was. But I have yet to find a coin that produces more profit.

Nyancoin anyone? I'm taking a risk by mining it. Can't get any worse than all the other coins out there..

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=477944.0

I usually don't jump around, but I pitched 5mh at Nyan for a few hours and did well. It looked to me like it TANKED a bit ago.

Looks pretty ugly across the board, but i'm gonna stick with Scrypt N and VTC.
Doge still does ok too.

GPU prices are still insane in new and used market, if the downtrend in cryptocurrency value vs the dollar continues I'd hope we see prices on AMD GPU's come back down by next week.

I shut down the Pandacoin pool on poolminewith.us - which is no big loss since nobody was using it anyway.

I did add a forum to the site for site-related discussions/support requests/etc.

I also reopened the vertcoin pool. I doubt anybody will hop on it, but it's there.

I started mining Vertcoin but my darn 560ti hawk only mines about 30-40 Kh/s which is absolutely sloooowww. I only got .008 mined in about 2 hours today.

Would it be worth it to upgrade to the ON SALE 780 Classified for $496 (no tax in Texas from Newegg). Could the profit actually be made back? Or is it worth just not bothering with Coin and wait for Maxwell.

I'm excited, difficulty is down, though not as much as price. I'm still netting .02 BTC/day with my two measly video cards. I will take that any day. Don't say it too loud or difficulty will spike.

Having said that I'm not expecting Max to be the most profitable for me in another week.

Maxcoin uses SHA-3, doesn't it? I'm surprised no one has rigged up a FPGA for that yet. Unlike Scrypt, SHA-3 was actually designed to be implemented on hardware without too much trouble. Existing ASICs won't work, but whipping up a custom design shouldn't be that difficult for someone with hardware engineering experience.

I'm new to all this, but I don't think it'd be feasible to make money with nvidia if you're paying for electricity. I'm running a 770 gtx and it's still pathetic compared to multiple tiers down of amd just raw processing let alone taking power into account.

I heard Nvidia is far better at mining Vertcoins...hmm I may have heard false info though.

I'm getting 1230 on a 770gtx and 500ish (being lazy about double checking) on a 460gtx. Ugh only like .3 PTS all combined so far (haven't been running constantly).

You have to remember while PTS makes a great "coin" the real reason behind PTS was a way to distribute BitShares. PTS is one of the first to limit the power of GPU's to only 1.5-2.5x performance.

2m PTS and 2m AngelShares make up 4m BitShares. You either mined PTS or bought Angel shares to earn a spot in the genesis block of BitShares. A snapshot is being taken on the 28th so hold all the PTS you can in your wallet which will eventually provide you with BitShares (Options/Predictions market) once that piece of software is released. PTS holders will see about 1.2x BTS while AngelShare holders will see roughly 3x BTS.

PTS mining has been increasing like mad the last few days, I would suggest just buying some outright on Cryptsy or BTer.

Any decent PTS calculators out there. I switched from Max to Dark and now to PTS. Mine some MINT and going to forget about it.

I get about 2500 Col/m per card with 3 290s and 2 290X and 2000 col/m with my 280x.

Should net me about 3 PTS a day I think.

PTS is even easier on the cards, altho Dark is the easiet.

However Diff is rising fast on all these coins.

So do you need to have a wallet installed for the snapshot to work or can I just leave it at my Cryptsy addy?

You need them in your wallet, otherwise Cryptsy can claim the BTS.

To answer your previous question, there are no real calc's out there to see how many pts you can earn a day. YPool has historically had the most hash power however 1gh has been adding hash like crazy the last few days. PTS is not as harsh on the cards keeping power and heat down.
