Logged into bittrex today quite happy. I saw VRC on Mintpal and remembered that a few days ago I placed an offer to buy ~65K of them at 800 each which my remaining balance on that exchange. Today I logged in to... 65K VRC.

And yes I dumped them ASAP I don't care if they keep rising, I'm not passing up almost 1200% profit that quickly because once a pump like that dumps, it just doesn't recover or at least takes a very long time to do so.

Why not have a well-known member here start an honest alt coin? something with no pre-hays, that intentionally hard-forks whenever ASICs are developed, which runs low-power, and which doesn't reward those who start out on it with nearly all the value?

And there's still plenty of room for that at this time as well.

The best algorithm is Scrypt Adaptive-N factor right now.

If someone can make a cryptographically sound Scrypt-like adaptation of one of the other of the x11 or x13 basket of algorithms, you can harden the ASIC resistance even higher.

x11 or x13 are worthless in that they are so easily implemented in FPGA and ASIC form. They have no resistance like Scrypt bestowed onto SHA-256.

Do a 100% fair, 0% premine 0% bullshit launch for Scrypt Adaptive-N + "other memory intensified algorithm" Adaptive-N coin with litecoin structure and you will be a serious contender.

For those in California and if under Southern California Edison's pricing scam, SCE just did a retroactive stealth increase in charges to beginning of this months billing cycle.

They dropped baseline allocations (moves folks into higher tier pricing quicker) and raised tier 3 to 31c kwh and tier 4 to 34c kwh from 28 and 31 respectively. Tier 3 might sound like a big tier, but it kicks in at ~480kwh for a lot of districts, below the average monthly kwh use of ~600-700kwh.

I'm almost at the point where I'm about ready to just sell off all of my GPUs and take all of my crypto earnings and go 100% trader or long-term positions. I cannot keep up with all these 1 week PoW coins and possible shift to X13 so soon after X11.

Is anyone interested in 7950, 270X, 7870 GPUs by any chance? I'd be interested in trading for crypto like BTC, LTC, NXT, BC, and maybe a few other alts.

On other note, has anyone checked out SilkCoin? It has a really cool wallet. It's going into its final PoW phase soon.

Maybe we should do a charity coin that "donates" 5% of the proceeds to buy computers for inner city schools or something. People seem like that, as long as it's not a high percentage that eats into their mining profits.

We also need someone to modify the source code of an existing client and create wallet binaries for us. Is anyone here familiar enough with the source to do that?

My wife has to change the channel when those commercials come on.
Or maybe something universal like a red cross to receive donations, and it could lead to a pretty easy to recognize icon for the donation coin.
