sapphire 5830s are in stock at newegg again.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-946-_-Product

Thanks, I'm in for one now so that will be two HD 5830s for me.

So now I've spent $490 on BTC mining parts. Now I just need a proper PSU to power two HD 5830s and what ever else I buy.

Damn btcguild then
It's not their fault.

everyone ran over to deepbit from guild. deep is at 5000Ghash right now.
Bitcoin.lc had a huge jump, almost 1000 people/workers from the looks of things.

Any idea when btc will be worth less than a penny? I'm looking to buy some but for less than a cent a piece. Buy low sell high has always been the motto.

Well this is a great lesson in currency speculation for those who were not exposed to it before.

We will see where this thing bottoms out at......there could be a flood of 5XXX parts on the market soon, I already shipped off one of mine...

That is the $110 version. They just upped the price cause they could.

This is actually the 2nd time the price has been hiked. The last time I payed $119.99 for the same model card that just cost me $129.99. I can understand raising the price like that buy they could at least give free shipping then.

Man on tradehill, I was gonna put in a buy request but it says I have no funds in my account. So in order to transfer funds from my regular checking account, will cost $10 and run 24 hours. These people are insane!

http://spendbitcoins.com/ can get you gift cards, not cash though. Used it once for a $540 transaction, all worked out, seems legit.

i just used them yesterday when btc were worth $14.60 each for a $350 newegg order... i haven't recieved my newegg gift card yet... still waiting... wondering if i'm going to get the giftcard with the value of coins dropping.. hmm :/

Should be fine. Newegg takes a few days to go through, but your card value should be locked in when you place the order.

Yeah, because of all the scammers and what not, you have to go through Dwolla or bank wire. Very slow and pain in the ass methods.

MTGox has something on their main page saying you can buy btc with a credit card but i don't know how. Otherwise I would have maxed out my cards back in may @8.50 ish and sold at 30.

I can understand it taking a while to put the money from Bitcoins sold into Dwolla. But there is no reason it should take more than an hour for me to transfer money from my bank not just into Dwolla but through Dwolla since the transfer sum would be confirmed by the bank.

Watched BTC value drop steadily today down to $11.1. Now bouncing back up a little, $12.40 currently. Not sure how I feel about it. It was all fun and exciting when the value went from $7 to $30 in a couple weeks, but that level of growth was obviously unsustainable. I still believe that in long run *if* bitcoins can reach broader markets they will go up to $100 or even $1000 each, but this could take a year, or never happen.

But the longer they "languish" at current values, the more I get to mine. So I guess it's okay from that point of view.

I wonder why they dropped so much.

Dwolla makes money on the intrest it collects from your transfer. They want the money to be in their accounts for as long as possible. This is how Paypal and other services like these make money.
