If you use 13 Intensity, 8192 thread concurrency, and 2 gpu threads with cgminer you can get about 90% of what you would get if you pumped up the intensity.
You appear to be correct. Interesting. I can't quite get as much khash as I can with a high thread concurrency and I-18 on my 2x7950, but your suggestion really does make the machine much more usable at reasonably high output. Moving to I-14 with two threads causes hardware errors.

Oddly, the default is supposed to be 2 threads, but I guess this isn't the case with the scrypt kernel.

Anybody looking for an FTC pool should check out www.multipool.in. They have been pretty stable and auto payouts seem to work great. No issues so far. Zero fee. They also host almost every other coin type.

... and many others like him are the reasons why AMD marketshare surveys should be taken with a grain of salt, since their rigs are not for gaming and thus do not contribute to the overall "numbers" seen by online monitoring.

Save it for the next steam survey. It's of no use bringing it up in this thread. The last thing we need are fanbois arguing over how much money their favorite company makes instead of how much money we all can make.

Well Feathercoin mining lasted a whole day and a half for me! Woke up and the difficulty has shot up to 188 from 122 meaning in 13 coins a day now rather than 20 and the price has tanked form $0.45 to $0.20.

More profitable to mine LTC again so back I go. Now what to do with my 30 FC? lol.

Wow, I am having no luck with scrypt mining either.

I tried markyh's settings and was getting 400khash at 1088/1600 and worse at 1050/1500. Not to mention the fact that my computer was basically unusable while it was running. Not sure what I'm going wrong... drivers maybe? I'm on 13.5 beta 1.

I can mine 592mh all day with BTC and still use my computer. Maybe LTC is just not for me!

I have mentioned before my 7950 rig is an adapted 2008 HTPC rig that is just for mining 24/7. You are right. desktop is barely useable at 625k/h. But I often go 48hrs without touching it at all.

I have a seperate Q6600 + nvidia 560ti rig for gaming general use. One of the advantages of being a married man in your 40's with your own house, you tend to have a lot of stuff!

I would dump it for LTC or BTC on an exchange while it still has some value.

I warned ya the value was crashing on the 4th... You gotta be quick with the "pump and dump" with these altcoins!

WELL cuda/folding may be far less percentage-wise then mining with amd. I have 11 pc's and 20 plus gpus mining. I do no steam gaming.

I would not think the cuda/folding people would be as lopsided as amd miners with no gaming or very little gaming.

hey guys....

I had an old forum account a long time ago, but couldn't figure it out.

Anyhow, I just thought I'd check out your discussion on mining and leave a little tidbit for you:
http://hardforum.com/showpost.php?p=1039849038&postcount=425

Currently I'm reaching 10,600 kH/sec with 19x 7950's and one 7870 tahiti.
The 7870 is a pain; I can't get it over 350. Average is 540 kH/sec per 7950. I'm going to be tweaking a little more to reduce power consumption and improve efficiency.

One of the hardforum guys just made a new LTC pool. The stale rates are SUPER low.
Here's my stats at the new Invasionnetwork.com pool:
Your Valid: 1162850
Invalid: 1233
= 0.00106
~ 0.11%

Anybody is welcome to join. The creator is Jzegers24 at hardforum and he's very helpful. His pool has the lowest fee around and the lowest stale rates I've seen. Typical stales from other pools are >1%, so effectively I'm earning 1.5% more by using invasionnetwork.com

I definitely recommend this pool :

Your Valid: 208135
Invalid: 1001

Less than 0.5% stales, and my hash rate for my workers also looks a little bit higher on this pool than the other larger ones I've tried out.

Yep, this Invasion pool has been the best for me by far, with extremely low stales and consistently higher rates.

What is going on with litecoin? It seems give-me-LTC and invasion pool has stopped handing out coins....

Really? I switched a few days ago to Litecoinpool.org as I managed to get an account there after a 3 week wait.

Give-me-ltc seems to be having constant server / ddos issues in may but then they are often up to 25% of the LTC network hashrate.

Interesting thing for those of you have also have accounts on the bitcointalk forums.

Ripple, which IMO is largely a scam, has a promotional thread in which you can post your ripple address and receive 5000 XRP to start your ripple wallet. Even though I agree with the posters who say ripple is a scam, I figured I would check it out for myself, no harm as long as I don't invest anything into it, right?

I signed up for a ripple wallet, posted on the "free ripples" thread with my address, and guess what I got?

Before I even had the 5000 XRP in my wallet, I had 2 PMs in my bitcointalk account from users begging to buy my XRP for bitcoins, one which was a flat offer of .4 BTC for the 5000 XRP. Looking through the other threads I see other posters offering as much as .5 BTC for 5000 XRP. It's a seller's market right now!

So, if you do have an account on those other forums there is an easy opportunity to make ~$45 easy money just by selling freely obtained XRP. However, it requires that your bitcointalk account was created before Feb 19, so you can't just signup a new account and get free XRP now.

Very frustrated over the last few days dealing with the apparent DDOS attacks on give-me-ltc.com and invasion network

Can someone please explain the logic of DDOS attacks on these pools? Bored script kiddies or are they trying to devalue the currency?

DDoSing pools allows for better solo mining, especially for those with large clusters.

Just setup multiple pools on your script. With CGminer you can setup unlimited pools as backup incase the others fail.

I think scum who commit DDoS attacks are the lowest of the low, and new punishments should be invented for those who are caught committing them.
