With LTC taking a dump I'm at $4.98 profit a day at 1300 kH/s @ 550w draw, vs $3.93 a day at 1000 kH/s @ 350w draw.

That was quick drop, hopefully prices go up because right now I'm making per day what was I making a few weeks ago with only one card >.<

Sitting on 50 coins atm.

I just picked up a Tahiti LE card, the Powercolor Myst 7870. I'm building a portable gaming rig, and it seemed worth a try at almost $100 less than a 7950.

So far, I'm quite impressed. It's a single fan model, so it's a bit noisy, but I'm currently getting 500mhash at 1100mhz (1100mv, which is reported as ~1.04v in GPU-Z). It's running alongside my 5870 until the rest of the parts arrive.

Tahiti LE is obviously not as power efficient a couple of 7790s, but for the money it seems hard to beat for raw hashing power.

Now that Dwolla has been removed from Mt Gox, I'm looking for alternative exchanges that accept the payment system.

Anyone have any experience with campbx.com?

If you're worried about Bad Things Happening™ then it shouldn't be a problem keeping LTC on your computer since you can transfer it so quickly in terms of confirmation time.

Department of Homeland Security needs to be bombed for reals.

Litecoin @ 2.5 USD and dropping in BTC-e due to Mt.Gox troubles.
Bitcoin @ 100 USD and dropping in BTC-e due to Mt.Gox troubles.

Does this have something to do with the other lawsuit where the US based company was supposed to handle US transactions?

I didn't know Dwolla was run by the same guy who ran Mt.Gox, isn't he in Japan?

If everyone didn't know yet, US jurisdiction extends to every US ally and sometimes to neutral countries as well if they're small enough to be bullied or bought.

Japan is a US province, so if they wanted, they could just drone strike him as a terrorist money launderer or something.

Nope.
And it's not. Did my link not work?

Article says that the US account for the Mt. Gox subsidiary was not listed as a money exchange account. And the government used that as a reason to sieze the account.

International Trade 101:

Never partner with a US company in US jurisdiction.

They will sue you for any or even no reason at the drop of a hat, and probably win.

Samsung learned this the hard way, lol.

It's hard to say what the true reason is. They probably didn't have to go nuclear, but they chose to. It might be risk of money laundering. Or you might be right and it's the taxes.

If it's about control and visibility, this could end up like pirate bay, where the operators move constantly to places that aren't persecuting them.

Looks like the Yanks here are in the same situation as us Brits now? Nightmare trying to buy and sell BTC into local FIAT.

Brit banks have been systematically shutting each new route getting money in/out of Mt.Gox Since March.

Looks like you are the same as us now where the only route is expensive and slow wire transfers in and out for which Gox charge large fees and so do the banks via exchange rates from Yen into $ or £. And a weeks wait!

The banks don't like not getting their cut and transaction fees.

I will be really pissed if the US shut down bitpay, it's my easy cheap exit from BTC into GBP for now. Exxhange rate from BTC to USD to GBP is ok too.

And because of the price drop after tomorrow when I get my next whole LTC mined and transfered I'm switching the BTC direct as with transfer fees in and out of BTC-E it's pointless mining LTC and converting to BTC.

Tell that to Pakistan, Serbia, Libya, Somalia, Yemen, Iran, Syria (Soon&#8482, etc.

Enemy combatants don't need warrants

And for those complaining about Politics in a Bitcoin thread, blame US Gov, not me

pakistan and japan arent even remotely the same situation.

sure fromn 10K feet they look the same, but they arent.

you will notice they seized a foreign corporations assets located in a US Account.

They didnt seize anything from outside the US.

If this was pakistan the USG would likely do whatever the hell they want.

you will notice they didnt go anywhere NEAR the Japan based assets

I think this is likely because it's directly linked to the Coinbase lawsuit, or just that it's something they came aware of due to that lawsuit.

If they wanted to, the US COULD do the things mentioned.

They just don't want to at the moment.

DHS also only controls what happens in US.
If other operations are abound, it would be handled most likely by a different agency.
