Actually you have kind of hovered into my difficulty.
I cant find the config file to edit.. ???
I just downloaded the zip.
Extracted it and started the wallet and it started mining after it was done syncing.
Where actually is the config file.
Could you tell me please.
And as to you question, try looking at around page 26 or 27 of the blog i posted the link to.
A guy has posted his config settings.
You just need to change the password.
And if it is the one that you posted then I think you will need to change the username to you wallet receiving address.
As that is what I changed in the config when I started primecoin on beeeeer pool.
And also change the password.
Without the config, mine just stood there for an hour not connecting to the network to sync up. Also, it would not want to start mining. Now that I added the config file (memorycoin.conf) to the wallet directory, it runs fine. It synced up, and I was able to start mining after a while.
I changed the password and I changed the "rpcuser" to my wallet address.
We will see how things go now.
Stupid luckyminers went offline at night, so I lost seven hours already. That sucks ass. I am doomed not to get any profit from this.
And my damn balance is still 19k coins. Even with random rewards I should have few times that mining in a pool.
I should have stayed with ltc.
My rig went down too. I only left one up for doge though. I still managed to scrap up 23k coins overnight with about 600kH/s.
I'll have to setup that config file, that's a really good guide.
Oh, so CGWatcher is basically an alternative to guiminer? Doesn't that lower your hashrate, as numerous sources say?
No, all it does is give you an easier overview and control for cg miner. It does not impact your hashrates and you still have to launch cg miner as you would if you did not use cg watcher. Except that you can do it with a push of a button, rather than double clicking the bat file, but my point is that you still need a bat file.
Also, what do you guys think about sending coins directly to coinedup.com? Is it safe? The site somehow works on google account basis without any password, and I am pretty confused, and no idea what to think about it.
It's been said that the official wallets are the safest place to keep your coins. Try not to keep them in pools or online exchanges since they are huge targets.
