I think I'll give it a shot, but only as a money maker, I don't really think it has anything special about it for longevity.

I bought it through the Amazon link and the price stayed the same during checkout (though Amazon, unfortunately, does charge sales tax in my state, so I had to pay that on top). I kept a printout in case they try to over-bill me later.

Got one from amazon too. Should be a nice addition to my trusty ol' mining cards. The temptation is there to sell it for a profit though.

That was an error when they were changing the price from ending in 99 to 97 so it could qualify as a clearance item for the additional $25 rebate we offer

So what is the actual price supposed to be for this item?

439.97 is the actual price and then you have the coupon for $20 and the rebate for $20 plus the additional rebate from tiger for $25 since it is a clearance item

But the price is still $229.97 on Amazon

Amazon price is back up to insane TD levels now, good thing I have my e-mail confirmation that states the original price ()

In other news, I missed out on the open box Asus 280x on newegg for around $300 after masterpass discount. They still have the beastly 3 slot Asus version available for ~350 after masterpass discount. But I feel like the 7950 is a much better deal if I can also get in on the $20 rebate.

Should be only a 100-150kH/s difference, not worth the extra $100+ imo.

Dogecoin is down to 0.00000057 BTC. I don't like the direction this is going... it seems to be falling slowly but steadily. I wonder if I should cash out my ~57000 Doge now, or hold on and see if it spikes again.

Currently there's a few altcoins that have been consistently high profits to mine:

Doge, Cat, Earth and Lotto.

They also have the very high interest for their small market cap, ie. Massive amounts of trading (BTC flow) for the small market cap compared to bigger coins.

If you are interested to mine these, only join a pool with a high hash rate, to increase block discovery rates and hence your income. Good luck miners and may next year be a good one for altcoins!

A lot of investors are waiting for it to hit the 50 mark to snap it up (there are massive BTC buy orders at around 50!) like last time but its so stubborn in its fall. A week ago it was at 50 then massive buy frenzy drove it to 100 and its on a steady fall back down since..

Biggest pools can be some of the worst places to mine
Big/small, in theory they should all be the same, but that is not always the case.

Yeah in theory its all the same but its not in my own experience. Small pools have horrid block discovery rates, often yielding 2 to 3 times LESS coins/day. I have had consistent good results going with a large pools, for Doge its ~3TH or 10% of the network, Cat is about 15% of network and Earth bout 20% of the network, yielded near perfect coins/day for me.

Stop and think about it... even if the launch was shady, Earthcoin was a 2% premine and it's still ridiculous in terms of valuation Doge has a ridiculous valuation based on what premise and a huge block amount.

Even if it IS a scamcoin, just like the rest of them are, it worth mining for half a day and sitting on a pile of them for when they inevitably hit an exchange so I can cash in on it. If not, I wasted a whole half a day of my time. Oooh, ahhh.
