Is it imperative to use GPU acceleration for your video playback?
I ran into exactly the same issue using media player classic to watch a video while mining and I just switched the decoder thingie back to windows default and it plays perfectly fine on a minuscule cpu load.

Yeah CPU acc ftw!
Turned off all GPU flash/browser acceleration the 1st day that I started mining.

Watching Youtube slightly raises my rejects (1-2%)

I installed a Asus 280X Plat bios on it and changed thread concurrency to 11200 and gpu clock to 1080 and bam it's hashing happily at 750 Kh/s. Before this I was just unable to get more than 560 Kh/s out of it.

You will lose the use of the HDMI port with this bios.

Sweet, thanks for the info! What do you have the memory clocked at?

I am currently getting around 660kH/s with:
GPU clock 975 Mem 1575
TC 8192 g 2
Stock VBIOS of course

Will flashing the BIOS void my warranty? I think I should be OK though since it has dual BIOS switch

I figured i'd try ltc ...
I joined ltc.drillbit.me and the luck is incredibly bad:
Est. Shares 10,069,510 (done: 352.84%)
Pool Valid 35,528,918

Small pools are just a bad idea ?

Yep. Bigger pool more chances of finding blocks faster.

for LTC the defacto pool is wemineltc.com

I like https://www.ltcrabbit.com/index.php

Rewards are pretty consistent as they use Pay per share and they do something similar to middlecoin where they mine the most profitable coin and then switch it to LTC. If LTC is what you're after it's a decent option, but the fees are sort of high (2%).

Have you compared Middlecoin to LTCRabbit? Thoughts on which is more stable and which has better payouts?

I haven't used LTC rabbit so can't speak for them. The norm that I follow is 0.01 BTC per 1 MH/s and middlecoin has consistently been beating that.

Trademybit is another good site that offers more than the avg payout with a lot more transparency.

I am currently minining TIPS and going Long

I just started using middlecoin so I'm not sure yet. I'm not sure if the pool went down or what but twice cgminer was interrupted and for whatever reason cgwatcher didn't restart it (frustrating). I'm going to give it a couple more days and see.

With my two 290's hashing at ~1600kh/s total I have been getting ~0.018 BTC from middlecoin. Been with them for 5 or so days now.

How do you turn off hardware acceleration for Media Player Classic? I need to use CCCP and Media Player Classic to play my anime and RMVB files.

Also turns out I forgot ot turn off hardware acceleration for Flash. Whoops.

I just switched the renderer back to "windows default" and my playback became butter smooth. Unless you have a fossil of a cpu and you're playing back 4K content, cpu should be more than enough. For flash, I think you just right click on any active flash frame and un-tick the option.

$14.00 in BTC for 5 days mining is not very productive. You would be better off selecting a Scrypt based coin to mine. Check out coinwarz to see hash/ profit calculations.

Please educate yourself on the subject of Middlecoin. It does NOT mine bitcoins.

Such snarkiness! It mines the most profitable coins then exchanges them for BTC.

I mined TES Teslacoin for 2-3 days sold about 45% of my minted coins and profited over 400.00 USD in two days.

Middlecoin is for people who are lazy crypto miners, lol.

So guy mined for five days at the Middlecoin pool and was payed out 0.018 in BTC= to about 14.00 US.

Don't be an asshat.

I think wbynum means 0.018 btc per day and not total over 5 days? That'd be in line with my approx 0.02 btc per day at 2Mh.

Is there any good reason you have your 7950 set as primary? I have the monitor connected to both but have the onboard HD4000 set to primary. Well, in fact I have it set to only show the desktop on the onboard HD4000. I get the full hashrate using the 7950 but also responsive computer.

How'd you do that? I just went through the Options and I can't seem to find it.

You can change it to secondary? How did you set yours up? Right now I have one HDMI cable connecting my monitor to my 7950. If I change it to my HD4000 instead, it stops mining. My second monitor is already connected to the Intel GPU.
