Careful what you wish for. I just switched 20% of my farm to your pool for giggles. Seat belt, please!

You're responsible for roughly 3.8% of total network hash rate.

Current block reward is 77 KDC. As of ~Sunday it goes down to 16, which is why everybody and their mother is mining it right now.

I asked before and someone replied but I still didn't catch the 1000 foot, and Google-fu isn't netting me the best explanation - but what's got everyone in a KDC craze? The impending fork might spike up the value?

Edit: just found three blocks in a row.. maybe I should switch more of my cluster over..

Precisely.

People have this irrational notion that a coin's value is directly correlated to things like block reward rates, difficulties, total supplies, etc. Therefore, the expectation is that a forced fork that takes the block reward down by this much is bound to make the value spike because it will reduce the supply.

What people don't realize is that it absolutely doesn't change the EXISTING supply, which is what the current value is predicated on in the first place.

All I can say is "dumpers wanna dump". So enjoy the ride of irrationality.

So I'm mining at WeMineLTC and have a little over 3 LTC. Yay! Just putting my one 6950 to it when I'm not gaming.

I don't believe I've ever set up a wallet. My 3 LTC is just sitting at WeMineLTC, as far as I know. Do I need to set up a wallet and save it on my PC so it's secure?

Also, I could point my 6950 to SunnyD's KDC. But then how do I get my funds, if I don't have a wallet set up?

Yes, generally speaking, you need a wallet running for each kind of coin that you own. So you need an LTC wallet, a KDC wallet, etc.

You can use "online" wallets and/or exchanges, but that is just asking to lose your money through theft or incompetence IMHO.

Well, looks like I was wrong about the price of ProtoShares... the thing that I did not take into account was that the AngelShares donation scheme has a direct BTC donation mechanism. So people can buy into the BitShares distribution without having to hold PTS, or convert their BTC to PTS. Donations have been around 150 BTC per day for the past week or so. If those BTC had to be diverted through the PTS markets, the price of PTS would have gone way up.

So, expect the PTS price to crash later today after midnight GMT (roughly 7 hours from now). But you'll be able to import your PTS wallet into the BitShares wallet when it is released, and get 1.3 BitShares per PTS owned of record tonight. Just think of it like a stock that's just gone "ex dividend"; it still has value, but less value than before the dividend.

The price may not crash at all.

-PTS offers value in future DAC's released by Invictus, that alone holds weight.
-With today's news about Gox, is BTC where you want to put your money short term?
-The coin itself is still friendly to CPU's.

I won't even bother touching all the other pump and dumps. Invictus has shown dedication to get these products off the ground with the communities help. They are moving at a very quick pace while others are still forking LTC...

Thanks for the info. Do you have a recommendation of the best wallet to use, and where to download/get the wallet? Could I then use this program to store both an LTC and KDC wallet?

Appreciate the guidance.

I have always used the official wallets for each coin.

Download them at:
LTC
KDC

And to add to that don't forget to encrypt and make backups of your wallets and store them in a safe place.

EDIT:And did anyone else notice someone donated 3million doge to fast-pool.com to help them square up peoples accounts.
Much Wow!

Does KDC mining work for Nvidia GPUs, technically it should work as it is scrypt based like Litecoin.

I get a web authention error when I try to mine on SunnyD s pool with Cudaminer.

My username & password are correct.

I dont know whats wrong...??

Anyone..??

So I wasn't the only one getting shafted by fast-pool's doge payouts?!

Omg, Auroracoin. Wow. The price has skyrocketed in anticipation of the premined coins being distributed out to the public. This is especially ironic for me, since I just got back from Norway on an aurora hunt and saw this and thought to myself that it was an interesting concept.

Unfortunately I'm 100% skeptical until the source is from the Icelandic government themselves. I keep trying to find sources but everything is within the crypto market. And by the time I find out it will probably be too late if true, lol. Why does everything that sounds awesome have to come with a catch? (ie 50% premine in this case).

But if true, this would be quite the step forward for crypto. And if not, it's going to be another huge blow.

yup, should work fine.

should be something like:

cudaminer -o stratum+tcp://kdc.poolminewith.us:4334 -O username.Worker:workerpasswd

Add in your typical optional parameters such as tuning and whatnot as needed.

You can check and see if you're one of them.
Dogechain
And here is the thread.
LINK

And just for the record, I NEVER seemed to get good payouts with fast-pool or any other Dogepool so i switched to a p2pool a while back and have been very happy ever since.

cudaminer -o stratum+tcp://kdc.poolminewith.us:4334 -O username.Worker:workerpasswd

Add in your typical optional parameters such as tuning and whatnot as needed.

I set up a new worker in my account & I am using

cudaminer -H 1 -i 1 -l auto -C 1 -o stratum+tcp://kdc.poolminewith.us:4334 -u workerName.Worker -p pasword

I get Stratum authentication failed.

Edit: Found my mistake. Now working.
Thanks.

So what are the current views on Proof Of Stake coins?
Good/bad?

It can go both way. I don't really see much hope for Zeitcoin to be honest.

PoS is good because it'll allow people who see value in the coin to hold onto it since the reward will eventually drop to zero and whoever has the most amount of coins get a bigger interest.

Bad because people don't really know much about it yet and its kind of new.

Zeitcoin will be a pump and dump for me.
