That's the last time I bother with ANY coin that has been announced well in advance. This happens every single time. I couldn't even get my wallets to sync for a brief solo mine attempt. I'm going back to BC until that finishes PoW then will probably move over to Waffle for a bit.

Sorry to hear about the zeitcoin launch. The helixcoin was also a pretty spectacular disaster for me today...

In fact, almost every single launch recently has more or less been the same black friday stampede for personal profits by a rabid horde of inhuman zombies struggling over a mild prisoner's dilemma to not spook the market but then always breaking the dumping cease-fire too soon to even make any selfish/utilitarian sense.

I'm really starting to think that none of the newer altcoins, no matter how sophisticated, well-market researched or even if created with a laudable philanthropic purpose can be anything other than a pump and dump to grab a quick chunk of btc at this point in time. And then even the ones that survive only do so on the back of those who didn't get the memo.

I guess I'm also going to reschedule all my next 24hour timeslots on wafflepool until further notice.

Yeah, stampede is right. I'm done chasing pre-announced coins. I'm 0/3 on them recently and it's not worth the effort.

The new cudaminer has the 750ti doing ~160mh on kaccak (maxcoin). That's pretty damned good for a silent card that draws very little power.

That is good, though Max has really tanked Not sure if it's worth mining anymore.

Okay, I have a really weird one for you guys. I have two Sapphire Dual-X 6950s and 1 AMD unbranded 6970 (which does 1000/1500). the 2 6950s at stock were each getting like 385mhs and the 6970 was able to hit 500 at the clocks listed. I've since moved them to a single rig, but for some reason the rig won't let me get any of these cards above 315 or so. It was also super throttling my 7950s when i had them in the same box to around 420 or something at full 1100/1500 OC when they are easily capable of 600+ at that. I'm not sure what is going on other than the fact that i'm not using the recommended slot arrangement (for crossfire) because it shouldn't matter for mining. config is as follows bellow

x3 720 BE in an MSI 890FX-GD80, the 3 ATI cards i listed, and 1 4GB stick of corsair DDR3, running off a name brand 900w PSU, with a single 500GB Seagate 7200.7 (old as fuck but still running no smart errors no bad sectors over 7 yeas total on time).

All 3 cards mine faster in other systems but don't play nice driver wise with any of my 7xxx cards. I was hoping to riser the whole board out and add my 2 5870s to it since they did but if it's not letting anything mine fast enough I'm wondering what the hell is wrong with the board or if It's just that I'm using an x4 electrical slot with an x16 card in it. I'm thinking of trying the hot wire mod used on x1 slots on the slot if need be, but it's physically x16 design makes me wonder why MSI would even include that at all if it didn't support graphics cards at all.

this got buried, I didn't get any replies or PMs about help on this issue. I just took the system down to 2 cards and then 1 card, it doesnt matter what cards are in it, It's under-performing them no matter what. This is my single best board for miners and it was working fine (though the OS needed a reinstall badly) until two weeks ago, at which point I did a large system shuffle and moved a bunch of cards around for driver support reasons and reinstalled that box's OS cause of the issues it was causing (wouldn't mine at all after an update, just frozen). Any ideas as to how to fix it would be greatly appreciated, as my next option is going to risers on another board and putting all 5 cards into it which I didn't want to do just yet.

I get 660 on my Sapphire Dual-x baby!!!

Anything above 600 is good for a 7950... My 7970 can't crack 700 so I consider 660 above average for a 7950.

Edit: I don't use anything special for my 7950... TC is 24k, Intensity is 19. Clock speeds are 1100/1500

so my shit is messed up then, im getting ~17 on each card.

what driver version you running?>?

How much are you getting per day on suchcoins and what is your hashrate if you don't mind me asking?

Back on Suchcoins this morning. Been pointed there for just over an hour with my single 7950, ~610KH/s. The pool says 300 DOGE unconfirmed. So I guess if this continues, I would get around 6000 DOGE/day? Maybe 5000?

I think the reason that people jump on these coins is that they're already guaranteed a spot on an exchange. On launch, the coin should NOT be on an exchange, since that will usually weed out the people looking for a quick profit.

Edit: Also, Cryptorush was selling off their bounty in the mist of this.

Ok. My LTC and KDC wallets are now set up. Mining on SunnyD's pool as same username as here.

Since MtGox is done, what is the best exchange to use? And what is the best way to transfer my LTC for BTC (or USD$) and same with KDC? Is there one exchange that can handle both LTC and KDC and is reliable and secure?

In my opinion, the only legitimate exchange where KDC is listed is Coined Up (https://coinedup.com/). They have been trying to get it listed on cryptsy for a couple week now but don't have the votes. Coinedup will do both LTC and KDC.

Sunny's pool is rocking along. I helped the cause by putting the farm over there until the fork. Maybe the fork will make us all rich... :whiste:

What drivers are you using? Have you tried running only one or two cards in the rig and see what results you get then? Monitor your CPU/RAM usage?

There is no way you can get 5k doge with 600kH/s. I think you just got lucky within the first couple of hours, but keep me posted because I am very curious to see how much you get on a daily basis.

I use coinedup for all my crypto to crypto trading transactions.

Well I'm glad I changed my mind before going to bed last night and decided to throw hash at BlackCoin. It's currently at block 9759 and will end PoW at block 10000.

So at least I'll have a small amount of BC to go into the PoS phase with.

I think I talked about Blackcoin a couple pages back.

I only have 66.6 but whatever.

I'm currently using wafflepool, but can you explain what is meant by 24 hr timeslots? I just set my machines up and don't pay much attention to timeslots, though I'm unfamiliar with how you use it?

~17!? There is definitely something wrong... Is 7950 the only card in your system? What does your .bat file look like if you are using one?

I am running 13.12 drivers, pretty much anything except 14s works for me and gives me good results.

Just getting into this now, figured I already got the gaming PC, why not get on the bandwagon.

Out of curiosity, anyone in this thread now a millionaire?

Unlikely unless they had a massive GPU farm and got in on DOGE early and held until February. Or were one of the early BTC miners and held BTC until November 2013. Even then I would hope they would just fade into the sunset to avoid the vultures...

Also, you're looking at less than $5 a day per GPU at this point, so I'm not sure it's worth the heat, noise, and aggravation for a lot of people...

I use the official bitcoin-qt, which unfortunately takes about 16GB of space with the blockchain.

Precisely what I am trying to avoid.

I am not hardcore miner & barely have any coins so I assume the Multibit wallet should be good for me.

Just asking people to be sure that they haven't had a bad experience with it.

I use Electrum for BTC (because of the block chain), and official clients for everything else.

cgminer.exe --scrypt --shaders 1792 -o pooladdress-O login info

I just recently added the shaders part and it didn't help at all

cgminer 3.7.2

cat 13.11, I might be on a beta version

crossfire is enabled, and I the check box to turn it off doesn't seem to be where it used to, I assume that can cause issues, it used to with BTC mining
