Okay, I have a really weird one for you guys. I have two Sapphire Dual-X 6950s and 1 AMD unbranded 6970 (which does 1000/1500). the 2 6950s at stock were each getting like 385mhs and the 6970 was able to hit 500 at the clocks listed. I've since moved them to a single rig, but for some reason the rig won't let me get any of these cards above 315 or so. It was also super throttling my 7950s when i had them in the same box to around 420 or something at full 1100/1500 OC when they are easily capable of 600+ at that. I'm not sure what is going on other than the fact that i'm not using the recommended slot arrangement (for crossfire) because it shouldn't matter for mining. config is as follows bellow
x3 720 BE in an MSI 890FX-GD80, the 3 ATI cards i listed, and 1 4GB stick of corsair DDR3, running off a name brand 900w PSU, with a single 500GB Seagate 7200.7 (old as fuck but still running no smart errors no bad sectors over 7 yeas total on time).
All 3 cards mine faster in other systems but don't play nice driver wise with any of my 7xxx cards. I was hoping to riser the whole board out and add my 2 5870s to it since they did but if it's not letting anything mine fast enough I'm wondering what the hell is wrong with the board or if It's just that I'm using an x4 electrical slot with an x16 card in it. I'm thinking of trying the hot wire mod used on x1 slots on the slot if need be, but it's physically x16 design makes me wonder why MSI would even include that at all if it didn't support graphics cards at all.
