CPU temps are good, Ive used the popular fan fix technique with these 4850s. Although I didnt know I had to enable Overdrive to get that fan speed fix to work. Ill try it again. The first parts of the game ive gone through without a single crash on standard 8.6 Catalyst.
Update: Ran through 3 GPU benchmarks in crysis
CPU temp stayed between 40-43c at what I presume to be stock voltage (1.28) 333x3
GPU at load with (40% fan speed fix) maxed at 85c.
Ive played through the first part of the game for a solid hour, no hitches. Although in the past when I had 8.6 hotfix in place I kept crashing with message that said "your video card drive has stopped working". Although, while I cant find anyone who is just crashing at the end of the game. I see theads all over the internet about Crysis crashes on 4800 series cards.
Update 2: Increased fan speed by 5% and GPU idles at 54c but fans are running at 3800 rpm, is this ok?
