Crysis videos running on G80/DX10

I spotted this on nvnews

I've recieved some exclusive videos (who knows how long they'll stay exclsuive for though) and information from what you could call "an inside man". Besides these being the first public videos of the G80 actually running a game ( as far as I know ) - These are also the first real-time DX10 Crysis videos. You read it here first

This journalist who shall remain anonymous was not allowed to say too much, but he may have already breached his NDA by telling me about the G80. The NDA is lifted on the 8th of November, yet you are hearing and seeing this all now

"The videos were taken at a G80 presentation in Paris. When I asked for more information from mr.anonymous, he said the only thing else he could say was that the G80 will definately be worth buying. The same person also said he had a chat with the lead designer of Crysis who I believe is Bernd Diemer. Apparently, everyone there was drunk, so I'm sure there was some wild information flying around .

I was only able to download a portion of the second video (the first one wasn't downloading right), but of what I saw, it looked amazing. The part with the sun behind the tree, oh man. *drools*

Too low quality. But, it does mean that the 8800GTX will be able to handle Crysis rather nicely.

Meh.

Is that a single 8800GTX? It looked like it dipped kind of low in the frames for there being no gun-fire, other characters or physic-strenuous action. Maybe it was because they were recording the gameplay while playing it? Also, I thought interactive vegetation was going to be pretty common place in DX10. Why didn't the plants move when the character was standing / walking through its stems?

8800GTX SLI looks nice (except for the price).

It's not finished yet... This is the most up-to-date build, but there's still bound to be things missing.

True, however just because it isn't done doesn't mean performance will be better once it is. I've noticed recently that the Dark Messiah Demo played just fine on my rig and now that I have the finished game I've been surprised with how much of a hog it is.

Nice to see that there aren't any billboards with ads waiting for them with EA involved and all.
