I just hope my planned rig can do better than the ~50FPS best claimed; gonna probly have a QX9770, definately a Asus P5E3 Premium, probly a couple of Crossfire 512mb HD3870s (maybe a third eventually), 4 gigs of dual channel 1033Mhz+ DDR3 ram, it'll be run on a 10k 150gb rpm SATA HD (of two), all watercooled, overclocked to heaven with a beasty PSU that can run it all and sitting nicely in my already-purchased Antec 900. Also probly will have a blue cold cathode tube ^-^ and the 2 extra 120mm fan spaces filled. As I said I'd be running it all on highest settings and on the highest resolution a widescreen 24" LCD can give me. Wish me luck? Your predictions for FPS?
Highly doubt you'll see 50FPS with everything set to Very High @1920x1200 since you won't even get that much @ 1280x1024 on High settings. AA will bring FPS down even further. These were done with the 7.11s that gave @50% increase in CF in some games and though the 8-series bring a few more performance boosts I don't think it'll be enough to get you to where you want to be. Not even 3x Ultras will get there at Very High.
And no SSDs? That build is made of phail!
