What's the highest FPS that has been achieved to this day by all the gamers out there on Crysis? What is your highest? Include specs for highest performers!

Well if we're not being specific I achieved 95fps in the ship with shaders and textures on very high and everything else on high...that didn't last long though. The average in the ship was about 55fps. (32 bit mode)

8800gt 715/1780/1900 with zalman 900, e6750 @ 3.2ghz. with zerotherm aftermarket CPU cooler, 4gigs Gskill pc6400 ram 5-5-5-15, antec 900 case, 550W TT tough power PSU,

Lol, you lie badly

At 1440x900 no AA tweaked DX10/XP settings (very high) I get average 35-40fps with:

Q6600@ 3006MHz
HD 3870 @ 825/2400
2GBDDR2
Gigabyte P35 DS3R.

Pritty nifty for a cheap pc

1440x900 all setting on high no tweaks, 35-40 FPS

still running stock speed on proc, until i get a different board and Aftermarket HSF

tried the dx10 xp hack and it puts me in the sub 30's and makes it choppy. I've got one of the SLACR G0 stepping q6600's though, so I'll eventually put it up to 3.2 ish

Oh fun, let me WOW you all.

Playing on my laptop:
T7500
2gig ram
HD2600

@800x484 (I believe) everything set to high, shaders medium, shadows low, I pull an average 40-45. Pretty good for a 14.1" laptop! And if I turn off screen stretching it doesn't look blurry at all.

Nope. Almost no games do from what I've seen so far.

Common misconception and flawed testing methodology. Simply put, you can't always quantify the benefits of additional RAM in an FPS graph. The article does hint at some of the benefits though, like load times. Another key benefit is smoother gameplay with less thrashing/hitching. Even in Crysis this is easily tested with the SP demo. If you load up the fly-by demo the first run will be noticeably jerkier than subsequent runs, yet the FPS will be nearly identical, within 1 FPS typically.

Edit: I haven't seen Crysis use more than 2GB for the app itself however, but that's no big surprise since the entire demo directory is only ~2GB. Retail version should arrive any day now so I'll see if it benefits from more than 2GB.

You guys DO realize that if you turn settings down from max then it's not impressive that you get high fps? With shadows on medium the foliage doesn't even have shadows, so the visual quality is noticeably worse. Then you're just playing Farcry with slightly better textures.

Hi.

I get 20-25 fps in the jungle at 2560x1600, 0xAA, with the Very High on the cheap config from tweakguides.com. Highest fps? naaaaaa, but I'm not running 1280x1024

Here, have a look for yourself. In that same spot where I was getting 25 fps, now I get 28. patch and new drivers ftw.

I get around 150-160 FPS at 2560 x 1600 resolution with all settings on high on my current rig. You guys got to step up to the FX series.

There has to be a criteria or this thread is meaningless - like a certain spot with certain settings. I could get 80+fps if i stared at my feet indoors....

You need to define "95% to max"... I don't believe a constant 30+ with that rig at 1680x1050...

I don't have Crysis installed anymore, but I was happy to get a constant 20+ @ 1920x1080, High settings, 4xAA with an OCed GTX.

35-40fps on my htpc rig...i do use a mix of medium and high though. both cpu and gpu are way overclocked so that might be why im getting good performance from my 8800GTS 320MB.

why not? 8800gt pretty much = 8800gtx

1920x1080 is quite a bit more than 1680x1050...
so the diff between 20+ and 30 isn't so much

i say 95% to max because i kind of recall lowering one setting and i forgot which.

So, you're telling me that you're running an 8800GT with everything set to 'very high', except one setting at 1680x1050 at a constant 30fps...?

Funny, no one else seems to be able to do that:

http://www.computerbase.de/art...eforce_8800_gt_sli/21/
http://firingsquad.com/hardwar...0_gts_512mb/page12.asp (30 avg fps, but notice the 'medium' settings)
http://enthusiast.hardocp.com/...wzLCxoZW50aHVzaWFzdA== (not even 30 avg fps at 1280x1024 0AA/0AF, and definitely not even close to the highest settings)

That's one hell of a GT you got there...

I did mean all settings on high on the highest resolution you can produce. I just hope my planned rig can do better than the ~50FPS best claimed; gonna probly have a QX9770, definately a Asus P5E3 Premium, probly a couple of Crossfire 512mb HD3870s (maybe a third eventually), 4 gigs of dual channel 1033Mhz+ DDR3 ram, it'll be run on a 10k 150gb rpm SATA HD (of two), all watercooled, overclocked to heaven with a beasty PSU that can run it all and sitting nicely in my already-purchased Antec 900. Also probly will have a blue cold cathode tube ^-^ and the 2 extra 120mm fan spaces filled. As I said I'd be running it all on highest settings and on the highest resolution a widescreen 24" LCD can give me. Wish me luck? Your predictions for FPS?
