There was video on the news last night. 120 rounds for 5 buffalo?? Buffalo Bill must be spinning in his grave. I guess an M16 (what I saw on the newsclip) just isn't enough weapon to drop one quickly.

That's 24 rounds per animal. Which sounds bad, until you realize that the .223 Remington was designed for ground hogs and other varmints, not buffalo. I'm actually suprised the cops didnt end up using more rounds. Shooting a fricking buffalo with a cartridge designed for coyotes (at most, and usually smaller mammals like prairie dogs/ground hogs), is not going to result in a pretty hits vs kills ratio.
