I've read CS:GO is a heavy CPU intense game, unlike most which are GPU intensive. I play CS:GO more than any game, although I do plan on getting into the new BF1, and potentially play some single player games like Hitman.
I'm currently making a new build that I plan on getting soon. It has an i5-6500, H110 and gtx 1070 as my main components. This gives me a pretty solid gaming setting up matched with my 27'' 1440p 144hz monitor. However, I'm somewhat considering waiting on the build a bit in order to save up for an i7-6700k, z110 and matching CPU cooler. I could probably OC on air up to 4.3 or 4.4Ghz. I can't find any benches for CS:GO which compares the 6500 to the 6700k OC'ed.
Is it worth the extra money for this?
