CS help: I am getting dropped from servers within 1 min.

I have CS vers. 1.0.0.3, and the latest PunkBuster client, but when I get on a game, I get ousted within a minute. There are'nt any scripts telling me what happened. I have not plyed CS in a month, so i'm not aware of any changes that may have occured.

I have PC-cillian 2000 running, should I shut it off?

I believe you need the ATI patch. You can get it here

Nope, that did'nt fix it. I also tried turning off my Anti-virus software. still the same result, I get dropped after about a minute everytime.

I guess everyone is playing RTCW, OFP, MOHAA, ect., and no CS?

 

Are u going into servers that have cheating death? If not then maybe csguard, and if you have some bad stuff then that might do it. Other than that i dunno. CD is the only thing that has been doing it to me, just download it and turn it onn, that fixes it if thats it.

Make sure that patch gets installed in the right place... I remember an old post saying that it's real picky about where it goes, I'll try to dig it up for you...

EDIT: Check this thread. Make sure you get ati_fix_cs.exe if you have retail cs, NOT ati_fix_hl.exe.

I checked, and I do have the version for CS, but interestingly enough, I also have a dll folder in the Ati fix file that says: Fail . So maybe it did'nt take. I'll try it again.
