Cuban black beans and rice

Lol, they got it from the back of a can of black beans. Gotta love NPR. And thank God they clarified that they were referring to the food manufacturer and not Francisco Goya.

I'm from the Midwest. I've had every variation of beans possible. I love when folks think beans are "ethnic" in the US.

When I moved to FL I every place I went advertised "Cuban Beans" or "Latin Beans" which were fixed exactly how I had been eating them my entire life.

yes.

I'm from southern Louisiana and yeah I'd agree that red beans and rice made right is fantastic. The Cuban style black beans are great too. White beans and rice is really good as well!

Basically I like beans and rice.
