Does the home owner has the right to park there? Or is it like first come first serve basis? I am in California and have some bad neighbors who always park in front of my house, and left very small spce for my drive way access. Is there anyway I can get rid of them? I've talked to them but they don't listen and trying to threaten me.

edit: spelling in title.

edit2: Cops came and left. They said that there is nothing they oculd do ... those basters didn't break any law, so we are basically SOL .... gotta go find my parking space somewhere else now ...

there is probably a law about allowing clearance to driveways.

park your car in front of you house and leave your driveway open.

Over here you've got to leave minimum 3 feet from the edge of the driveway to the bumper of the car, else it's ticket-able.

It's not going to work. They are gathering at their garage and outside, so they will see the towing truck when it comes. Also, I don't want them to get violent after their cars get towed.

depends on where you live then I guess, I don't have a driveway in front, so my two parking spots in front of my house are kinda needed for my two cars. In the rear (alley, the city can block and does block them from time to time, so I can only really use the rear entrance for maintance.

What would that do exactly? Yes, I know it would make the wheels unbalanced, but what does that do?

If they threaten you, call the cops.

Edit: They're gathering outside? It's 9pm there and it's Monday.

yeah but they have ahd to break a law or be on private property. The street is not his.

There is no law (at least none i have ever heard of) that says that spot on the street is yours and it is against the law for others to park there.

Whey would you even think that they would be able to tow it? i guess if they lie or something maybe then.

I'm not kidding. They are gathering since morning ... it has bee like that for since last monday. They said that there are death in familiy so they have a lot of famliy members come by to have some kind ceremony. However, the way I see it, they are sort having party. Everyone is laughing out loud, having beers, and play poker. We can see it from outside of their garage since the door is wide open. There are like 20 people in there.

They blocked my parking spot. We have two cars and I always park one of the car in front of my house. Now I have to either park fwe blocks away or block my own drive way.

Even so, you're stuck. I was in a similar situation. The people across the street would park in front of our house while leaving their driveway empty.

Pissed me off to no end.

WHAAaAAAA!

while annoying and rude they still have yet to do anything wrong. though if they are loud you may be able to file a complaint.

But them parkign on the road in front of your house is legal. there is nothing you can do. You do not own the road where they are parked.

I guess it's the threatening thing that gets me, I don't have a problem with any of my neighbors, we all mind each others buisness and are reletivly friendly (a common thing in Texas). the only time they might take a parking spot in front of my house is usually on a friday night so I don't have to worry about the city blocking my rear parking, then I park in the back and move it to the front sundays after church. (note, I'd probably not want to live next door to waggy from the looks of it )

We have no problem with any of our neighbors in the neighborhood. Everyone is friendly. This one I'm talking about is a new comer. They are relatives of the original ower (which is pretty new too) and just moved in like 3 weeks ago. Nobody ever talked to them and we had no idea what kind of people they are. Now we know. I'm calling cops. There is no use argue with them since they have like 20 people and we only have two.

actually im a good person to have next door.

i wouldnt park in front of someoens house. i have a large enough driveway plus the cars are in the garage.

I also do not have to worry about someone parking at the curb in front because we don't have a curb. I live in a very small town of 100 or so people. so the houses are all on a few acres of land. So everyone has enough room when they have guest.

only time i ever had a problem was when teh church (right across my house) had a concert some idiots were actually parking on my Lawn! luckely the pastor was walking by and asked if he can have them get off my lawn (the guys next door was letting people park in his yard).

Ya, called cops 20 minutes ago but no one ever showed up. They sound serious on the phone because I told them that we've been threaten by the new neighbors with 20 people but didn't bother to send a sherif. I want my tax money back. :-(

I don't understand what you want advice about? They are *LEGALLY* parking in front of your home. WTF do you want the cops to do?

Someone mentioned about 3 feet apart from the edge of the drive way. Well, they left less than 1 feet. If cops came, at least they can get ticke for it. Or else, arrest them for threatening us (probably not gonna happy anyway).
