Curb side parking. Who has the right?

just buy a ****** old 1978 cheyenne and make a habit of crashing into whatever car is too close to your driveway when you are backing out. they'll probably get the idea soon enough.

We did, but after we politely spoke about our concern, they 20 ppl come to us and threatening us saying that "THE STREET IS NOT YOURS! WE CAN PARK ANYWHERE WE WANT!" and some BS like that. Those new neighbors are just not too friendly. :-(

Thought about that. I was thinking to get a u-haul or some junk car and bump into their cars ... but that's probably not a good idea. :-(

I have some neighbors like that, they just park anywhere they want. I park in the same spot every single day (in front of my house) They live across the street down a house and they park in front of our house..

Probably because they don't say anything to the people across the street of them that park in front of their house.


I have two cars I just leave one of mine in front of their house for a month or two and don't move it. Revenge

Some of you may be surprised, but there are often local laws that allow the owner of the house the sole privledge of parking their car in front of the house in residential areas.

However, there are also often parts that say a car has to be there for over 24 hours or some crap before you can take any action.

Borrow some cars from your friends and park them out in front of your house for a week or so. I dunno what that'll do though but I just thought of the idea so I think it's great!

Well, it's not like that I don't allow them to park in fron of my house. I was politly inform them that if they park a little bit forward, I would have enough space to fit my car there, my would blocks 1/4 of the drive way, but I was okay with that. But their attitude was like "no we ain't move our car, not even a bit". And they park here every day from noon to 11pm. Geez.

Why not put some sugar in their gas tank then you'd have 1 less car to worry about. Or you can always take a picture of how much they are blocking your drive way and park your cars in their driveway.

As long as they are not blocking your drive way, they didn't break any law. If you are pissed, buy a beater car and park there without driving it. But that wouldn't do either of you any good.

The OP is an idiot. The street does not belong to you! Do you fix the potholes and salt and shovel the road? Your property line ends at your front yard. I can sit in front of your sidewalk all day and it's still the city's property. Go park your car elsewhere. It's first come first served.

If you don't like it:

A) Move to a private community with private roads
B) Get rid of your second car
C) Build a bigger garage
D) Suck it up

To all the people who agrees with the OP, none of you would make it in a real city.

How about

E) Park my car after they leave and leave the space between the edge of my driveway and my car like 3/4 of the car long. This way I am technically used two car spaces and they can't do anything about it. First come first served, I'm came first, so be it.

If they weren't so mean in the first place, I would never do such thing. Those people could had moved their car like 2 feet forward and I would have a parking space during that night. Instead they shutted at us and made me park in front of my drive way to block my other car.
