Question Curious question: many internal

I have a doubt about how many internal drives can handle windows 10. I have a PC with about 10 hard drives (including 2 M2), all of them 8/10Gb. Im facing daily BSOD, mostly the PFN_LIST_CORRUPT error, and Im trying to trace the problem to some point that help me to solve it. I tend to blame the motherboard, which was seriously hit during transport, but my boss, who paid a lot for that board, blames the hard drives or something else. Maybe we are forcing the OS to handle too much internal drives and I shouls move oput some of them?

Windows 10 has no issues handling large numbers of HDDs. Having a possibly damaged motherboard sounds like the most likely suspect. You could also be facing an issue with RAM (have you run a memory test?), or you could also be seeing an driver interaction issue. Are you connecting these disks to a proper Storage Controller, or is it with onboard SATA or similar? Have you looked for the latest drivers for your board if using the onboard controller?

Today I ran the memory test, just to be 100% sure. My boss took some time choosing the ram to ensure buying the right ones for the motherboard. Some of my hard drives are connected to a SATA expansion card, of course, no motherboard can have enough SATA ports for 10 disks and 3 DVD/BD burners.

I don't know what SATA Expansion card you might have, but I can tell you they vary greatly in quality vs. a reputable HBA. Have you checked the Event Log around the time of BSOD to see if there were precursor warnings or critical alerts generating right before the PSOD?

That would have been my first step in Linux, but I forgot it! Will check the logs. the card is an AsMedia, but cant remember the exact model.
