If you are paying $45 a month for Comcast High Speed Internet, call them at 1-800-Comcast and ask if they could honor the $19.99/month deal for the next six months.

I was able to do it and save money on my car insurance...errr...internet service. Give it a try!

Your mileage may vary (YMMV). Basically means that you can try it out but don't expect the same results (depends on managers, customer service reps, etc.).

with things like this, it helps to threaten to switch to a dish or other alternatives. works great for cell phones too. and yes, the reps do just have a list of "deals" in front of them and can activate them at will. you just have to know how to get 'em to do it.

so, uh, yeah, def. a YMMV. but still good if it works

DTV = DirecTV satellite

Just so you know you should say DSL instead if you're calling about Comcast high speed cable internet

Too bad it rarely ever works. If you even want a chance, threaten to disconnect and ask for a supervisor right off the bat. Keeps the call time down for us Tier 1.5 reps as well.

Current comcast customers WITHOUT current Comcast HSI.
I'm just whining since I work as a ComCast internet tech support rep and have to deal with billing $hat all day anyway. Even better, there are no supervisors in today, yay!

You're right. After reading the fine print of the promotion it's for current comcast cable people W/O HSI. My bad.

I'm not saying that it is going to be impossible to get, but you are better off going right to a supervisor or to retention. As well, the odds of getting a save promo are higher if you haven't had any extensions or promos in the last 6 months.
And Baltimore is a nightmare to deal with billing-wise anyway. Promotional credits?

lol...I've got 2 other computers.... a 2 year old Compaq 2197CA laptop and a K6-2 350Mhz with 384MB of PC166 ram. The K6 has no upgrade potential anymore(4MB onboard Rage3dPro)...and on the laptop, the proc seems to be epoxied to the case so I can't get it apart to clean it so it overheats with the wonderful 36C ambient temps here.
