Custom Bios for old machines

I have a compaq s5000v (2.4 Celeron) that is run by Imperial GL-VE (Trigem Motherboard???) All I could find were bios by the manufacturers.

Is there a website out there where I can scavenge for bios that will allow me to unlock more potential out of this motherboard?

I don't think so - most mfgr's really lock down the BIOS.

And, BTW, the Frank Zappa lyric is "Don't eat that yellow snow.", or the song title, "Don't Eat the Yellow Snow".

Some ECS Motherboards have "custom" or "homebrewed" bios to unlock a bit more potential out of them. I was wondering if such thing existed for this Imperial GL VE motherboard.

BTW, Imperial a mobo manufacturer? Or is Imperial like a pseudonym for a OEM mobo manufacturer???

What potential? You're getting 95% of the potential such a cost-effective board could offer. Its not designed for overclocking.

Imperial is the motherboard code or model name. Trigem (Korean) is the OEM/ODM.

If Trigem sold an equivalent retail board with more features, you can try flashing that bios to it. If you found one and tried it, that may work, that might brick the board instead, or you might find that all their boards have the same bios features except for the OEM logo screen since this was probably primarily an OEM board.

If you wanted to do something like overclock, you may be left with hardware mods. I don't recall what those are on a Celeron 2.4, but if the board chipset supports running at +33 MHz higher clock rate and you can hack the voltage feedback to boost vcore, that'd be the typical kind of o'c to shoot for assuming the memory has the headroom if the memory clock is locked to bus clock.
