Something is getting lost in the translation. Normally when someone has trouble communicating they need to use more, rather than less text to express themselves.

You want to learn to custom water cool on old equipment?
Are you willing to accept the cost of it will probably exceed the price on your entire hardware by not a little, but probably by double?
Sure you can reuse some of the gear, but some you can't like tubing and the gpu block.

Is it risky?
Yea its always risky playing with water near live electrical components, but the results are amazing if you do it right, and don't cheap out on the budget.

Been water cooling for more then 14 yrs now, and i probably have lost more stuff to count from stupid things which resulted in leaking, but at the same time i am probably more knowledgable about it then Linus and Jay2Centz are, as i have learned from the watercooling founders (Cathar + Marci) directly.

^ Please do not encourage this kind of posting nonsense. You just made far more effort than the OP did, which is not right. If someone can't bother, screw 'em.

ahhhh Aigomorla! I am so glad you are still here. I saw this post and thought of you and wondered if you still posted. What you said in bold sums up custom loops, regardless of how old or new the hardware you are cooling is.

I hearby coin that "verbosity trolling". Posting as little as possible, in order to get responses posted with as much more text as possible.

PS. There was once an internet-related networking exploit like that, it involved getting hosts' chargen ports to talk to other chargen ports, or something like that, amplifying traffic on the networks, until they shut down or the routers/switches overloaded. (* I may have the details wrong. It's been a few years.)

I guess you aren't a native English speaker. Building a custom waterloop is like doing anything in life. You do a little research, buy the appropriate parts and work your way thru it. There is little risk if you leak test it out of the case. My advice would be if you aren't mechanically inclined to just forget about it. Good waterblocks, a pump/res combo and radiators, tubing, fans etc... aren't cheap but will last a long time. You also need a case that has the room to house your gear. As far as watercooling your current rig I would say it would be a waste of time and money unless you are after the experience.
