I think that before Duke's next installment ships, everyone at AT will have had an opportunity to post a thread about it. Here is mine...

Today George Broussard posted the following tweet:

Game developers often say "Cutting is shipping". We begin this year with a vengeance and a chainsaw.

Of course he didn't offer any details to what he was talking about. Who knows, maybe Duke Nukem Forever will actually make it out this year.

Hopefully it is as fun as the last Duke Nukem Game I played years ago. Maybe I will replay them to pass the time.

Why do you need anything in return? You just guaranteed something. If you were really confident then you would agree to this one-sided deal without hesitation.

Doesn't matter. Max Payne was excellent, didn't play Prey so I can't comment. They are a small company that turn out excellent games though. DN4Ever is gonna rock.

I remember Duke Nukem being pretty fun, but I only played it once or twice on someone elses computer. It was a sidescrolling game, kind of like Contra the way I remember.

Duke3D was awesome though. It was the first sprite based game that I know that allowed you to aim in the vertical axis. Shadow Warrior, Blood, and Redneck Rampage followed. All were fun as heck (although I only played an early beta for Redneck Rampage.)

It is snowing right now in Hell (Michigan) so maybe Duke Nukem Forever really will be released soon? I doubt it, but even if it were released tomorrow, I don't expect it to be very fun.

At this rate though they are essentially paying themselves 5x the salary of other developers because it's taken 5x as long to get this thing out.

If Duke turns out to be an "average" blockbuster like say Gears of War, Halo, Fallout, Crysis etc.. then they money they make divided by 5 will mean they should go develop a Big Mac and some fvcking french fries next time if they want a pay raise.
