well, that is the same problem that people @ xda have:

"What is the best ROM?"
"What is the difference b/w CM and AOSPA?"

the answer that you'll get would be "Flash each one, try it out and see"


there's just too much differences to be listed out... I (along with other people) mention some names/features... either you google them, or post asking what they are

or you'll just get paragraphs of texts describing each feature and how it's useful.. then people get turned off reading a wall of text

That's kind of my point. This isn't XDA. This is a more general forum where people might be able to get more general info.

Personally I don't think ROMs in general have that much effect on battery life unless you enable something specifically that drains battery (i.e. setting CM's cLock widget to update every 15 minutes). PAC ROM has everything but it's very unpolished. There's a lot of integration challenges when you take 3 big AOSP-based ROMs and merge all the features together. Which ROM's implementation takes precedence? Maybe CM's nav bar modifications make more sense, or AOKP's do, but how do you merge features in? Or do you just pick one and lose some features from the others? Maybe it's because I prefer CM overall, but it's just too mashed together and unprofessional for me to use PAC. The intention is good, but I prefer having a base ROM and then features sprinkled in like CM + HALO or something.

Wow been doing the xda thing for a while and i wish every rom had that listed out. thanks!

Customizable quick setting toggles, customizable battery icon, and built in quiet time.
Those are the only features I miss now that I'm back on a stock Nexus.
Might have to look into this Xposed business though, although I'd prefer not to have to root or anything.

It is worth it. Get the tweaks you want without the headaches.
