Lemme give you a run down of the events that have occurred:
Well, in my latest dealings with this so called "professional" league, the CPL is sponsoring a Pre-Qualifier tournament all around the U.S. for teams/clans to earn a berth to their grand finale in Dallas later this year. They, in conjunction with GameFixx.com and CompUSA, are holding 4 qualifiers around the country at various CompUSA locations. In the first round of Pre-Qualifier tournaments scheduled for March 22nd around the country, the CPL decided to cancel the first date and reschedule it to April 5th without informing any of the teams. I then made several posts addressing this issue and the CPL's response was to delete my most recent post and ban me from their Forums. I will include my posts here and some responses:

Seriously, we have members that had to fly out to the location in sacramento. However, changing the dates 5 days before the events were supposed to take place?! totally irresponsible. We have guys comming from Utah to attend the date: march 22nd. So not only will they waste a trip to our area, they will also have to buy MORE plane tickets for the date we do Decide to attend.
Im sorry, but this isnt just some carnival you can change the dates around when you see fit. People have made HUGE plans to attend these events, and rescheduling 5 days before is totally lame, irresponsible, and completely unacceptable. Waving an opportunity to win more money in our faces does not redeem gamefixx or the cpl in my opinion. Very very unprofessional.

I planned for this trip in advance paying $180 for tickets.
I am very dissappointed that this change was made with only 5 days of the qualifier.
I have no way to participate in the next qualifier now which means my team can not compete.

I think that CPL's choice to delay the event in such a short timely manor is wrong and HIGHLY unprofessional. We had a member drive ALL THE WAY FROM ONTARIO to make the event down heer in Plantation, FL. now he has wasted an entire weekend without any hope of having any sort of tournament happening.
CPL is regarded as the most responsible and professional league around.... this is not exemplifying their previous record.

It's sad that no one at the CPL, GameFixx or CompUSA bothered to inform the teams that the March 22nd Pre-Qualifier date was cancelled and rescheduled for April 5th. No where on the website was a news post that that date had been cancelled nor were e-mails sent out to the teams to notify them of the cancellation. We had two of our team members drive from Salt Lake City, UT to Redondo Beach, CA to participate in the tournament only to find out it was cancelled. As team captain for team -v- Vishus, I must say that your administration of the tournament and lines of communication are pathetic at best. If you want to be serious about the tournament, I suggest you get people involved and keep the teams informed, not just change the date of the tournament on the website with no other indication that the original date was cancelled. I have lost what little respect I had for the CPL due to your poor administration of this tournament so far. If you were corporate employees of mine...you'd be UN-employed. And don't pass the buck to CompUSA, the CPL is JUST as RESPONSIBLE for informing the teams of any changes or cancellations...you guys blew it. It's sad that you won't admit it...it's the least you could do.

It's responses like this from a Commissioner that tell me the "un-professional" way that this tournament is being conducted. I'm beginning to wonder if it's being run by 12 year olds...

Wow...seems you cannot take criticism to make your organization better, that's ok though, because I've posted this entire thread over at Counter-Strike.net, AMDMB.com, PCToolBin.com, nForcersHQ.com, Anandatech.com, etc...
I could understand if there were foul language or actual derogatory remarks, but I guess the truth hurts too much for this organization to face it.
Here is my original post that you so graciously deleted:
Basically, when you have an even like this and a SIGNIFICANT change has occured the following things SHOULD have happened:
1. A news item on the gamefixx.com website announcing the change.
2. E-mails going out to all the teams informing them of the change.
3. A sincere apology for any inconveniences due to changes made.
I saw NONE of these.

This response is a joke. Why wasn't the information posted on THE WEBSITE, GAMEFIXX.COM where we had to sign up, and obtain all of our information. It's like saying, "hey, we posted the info over at cyberlalaland.com, so you should have known to check there." I call BS on that one. I mean, are we supposed to by psychic and know what other websites to check for information?
Come on, if you guys wanna call yourselves a "professional" league, you gotta be responsible like one and act like one. If you are "modeling" the league after other professional leagues like the NFL, NBA, MLB, etc. then you need to assume responsibility for events instead of passing the buck.
I still have yet to see one single apology from "THE CPL" for the dropping the ball on this one and not informing the teams in a responsible manner of the cancellation
Oh, btw, Kasparis, my attitude is VERY acceptable from the CS community that your organization has turned it's back on. I'm not as angry for myself as I am for the poor college students that forked out their hard earned dollars for plane tickets and gas money and time to come to an event that never occurred. In today's world, it's not so easy to fly or get refunds on plane tickets, or have you forgotten about the terrorist attacks and the implications of that awful day?
Well, all I can say is good luck in trying to become a "respected" organization. After instances like this, it will be a long time before that will happen.
An actual intelligent response would be appreciated, but I understand that that would be more difficult than hitting the "delete post" and "ban IP button". Again, another example of your lack of professionalism.
