I have this DVD Player, I bought 4 of them. gave them out as Gifts. It has played everything I stick in it (DVD,SVCD,VSD) CD-r & CD-rw. I had some vaction pics backed up in a folder on a CD-rw stuck it in there and full screen pics no prob. Excellent little DVD player

NOTE: It has no cable connection, your TV must have RCA audio inputs and RCA or S video inputs

In a related story... I was mildly surprised to see a pile of little DVD players at a pharmacy recently for $50 and thought to meself that they have now truly become a commodity and the market must be nearly saturated. That didn't take long, as consumer electronics go.

I got the 320 for 46 at target to hold me over till i get my player fixed, the 320 works pretty well so far and a little tinkering will bring up the region menu even though it isnt listed at dvdhelp

You can also find this dvd player at RadioShack for the same price (and rumor has it that they will be selling for $40 plus $10 MIR on Black Friday).

FWIW: Those interested in this unit might want to consider the Aspire AD1100 in another current thread, although the initial out-of-pocket cost for the CyberHome is considerably less than waiting out a $30 mir for the Aspire unit.

This same exact unit is available at your local Best Buy for $34.99.

I bought one as a gift. Looks good and works great! For 35 bucks, it sure beats a lot of other DVD players out there. And I simply love the compact (yet very useful) remote....now if only it plays DivX....$50 for the same unit with an MPEG-4 decoder? Cmon Santa....

Has anyone played DVD+Rs in it?

That's plus not minus...

Sams has it for $39. The beuaty of it other than being cheap is that it's small.

I had one of these for a while. Unfortunately mine started "glitching". By "glitching" I mean the sound will come on super-quiet, or only on one side, or not at all, and the tray won't eject without the "aid' of a chiselpoint screwdriver. Apparantly I'm a minority, but unfortunately I don't think my warranty covers it. A shame, since you can make this thing Region-free. (I had 28 Days Later about 3 months before it was in theaters here in the US, thanks to the UK DVD release and eBay)

I haven't tried DVD+Rs, but it doesn't seem to like DVD+RWs. It plays DVD-Rs fine.

RE:"I've successfully played Khypermedia and Memorex DVD+R in this player"

OK, I'll try one then. For $39, what the heck. If it breaks it breaks.
For <$5 I can get the extra warranty at sams.

I bought one and it plays the DVD+Rs burned at 8x that my mintek plays so I'm happy with it.
I even bought the $5 dollar extended warranty.
