Mine arrived, and there was a neon in there. Sexy blue and windowed case for $101 out the door. My subscription and patience in the hot deals forum has paid off in full.

TY John P. and others.

I wouldn't say the light is too bright. It's a standard neon brightness as far as I can tell. It has a switch that allows it to go from always on (when PSU/computer/HDs are on, it'll be on) to sound activated with a threshold determining knob that can be adjusted farily easily. The top and the bottom mounts on mine aren't perfectly aligned (a little off, not terrible, but I'll have to mount it carefully).

To answer the question below, the majority of the people who got this case say the PSU is indeed loud. I tested it out by shorting the green and the black wire (one appears on top of the other in the PSU out if observing such that the connector is taller than it is wide) with a paperclip. It's not as loud as I thought it would be (akin to one of the first Maxtor 7200 RPM HDs in loudness, though pitch is different). No matter, I spent some of the money I saved on clear thermal controlled fans for the psu.

For those who have received this case, is the power supply very loud? I haven't been able to find a deal that's much better than this. A good case plus a good power supply plus shipping have been $10-$15 more. The only thing that I think can come close is an Evercase ($22 + $15 ship) and a L&C 350W PS ($17 + ? ship), which would save me about $20 but is that worth saving??

I had one of these Neon lights before and didnt feel it was bright enough LOL and used a Cold Cathode
I may not even open the light that came with this case and just get a Cold Cathode and put it in
So I guess it depends on your prefrence a neon will not be as bright as a Cold Cathode but if you want a nice suttle glow in the case then the Neon is the way to go

I just received the blue case with the windows. The power supply, in my opinion, is not loud at all. I stuck the supply on an old celeron 300 computer. The blue case was a disappointment. The color of the metal and the color of the plastic front is mismatched. the metal part is a lot darker and the front is much lighter.

I got the blue one too. True the colors are a little off, but it doesn't bother me much..I hadn't even noticed it till I read the post.

I don't think I would purchase from them again. I never got an email confirming shipping. I called to see if it had shipped, and the girl I spoke with was rather rude to me from the get go. I ordered it monday around 1 PM, and it hadn't shipped by Weds. I was miffed b/c on the page it said should ship in 24 hours, and I asked if she could expedite it for me. She told me that it could take longer if she was to pull my order out of the stack and put it at the top. BS. Also, she asked me 4 or 5 times during the course of our 15 minute conversation if I wanted to cancel the order. Twice was understandable but by the 4th and 5th times, I was pissed because I told her the first 3 times that I wanted to keep the order, and told her so. It was a bad experience overall, but the outcome was okay.

The case looks great, like others I've seen. The PSU is not loud at all. And it looks pretty cool with clear fans. What I don't like is that they only gave 2 thumbscrews for the case, leaving the side without the window with regular screws. The neon did not come installed. It was wrapped in bubble wrap and was sitting in the case. The plastic casing for the neon was off a bit. The screw holes are not in the same plane. The casing where the wiring comes out is skewed by more than 30 degrees. I tried to take it apart and rotate it, but the glass tube for the neon is glued to it. Oh well, it should mount ok with the sticky pads.

It came with 3 Sunon fans, but I pulled them out and threw in 4 low flow Panaflos. Wtih them, the 80mm on my chip and the dual fans on my PSU, it's not noticiably louder than my naked case that had both sides open to a different dual fan PSU with the CPU fan and no cooling fans.

I pulled my PSU apart to put in some thermal controlled fans that I bought from SVCompucycle (the clear ones). To my surprise, those clear ones from SVCompucycle are noisier than those that were in the psu at 12 volts. My solution was to run a 7 volt line to the clear fans I'd taken the time to install (hey, I'd gone through the hassle of wiring it all up already). For all the time I put into taking that thing apart, I wish I'd left it as is because the PSU wasn't loud at all. I only got 2 80mm fans with my blue case, sunons with the 4 pin passthrough connector.

[Edit] The neon that came with mine was only skewed by 5-10 degrees but still makes mounting a little tricky. I also went nuts with replacing screws with thumbscrews from svcompucycle and putting some rubber grommets at the PSU bracket to limit vibrations.

Hmmm, maybe it is time for me to get a new case...this is pretty tempting for the new computer I plan on building
