heh, free DLC is the kinda stuff you get with "Deluxe!" package on release. so...eh. but whatever. looks like a ton of fixes and QoL updates, so that's nice. I just...hope this team gets to a point where it can actually release content or something more to expand this game and world--keep it alive. Would suck to watch it collapse under senescence from this one release.

I think they've said that this patch and 1.2 before this, were about bringing the game to this point.

i read the patch notes and nonwistanding the fact that i havent had CP77 on my system for years, i could not help but thinking that i would have felt betrayed if i was playing it and THIS was the patch notes. Not only they basically changed nothing, but it's still .. how shall i put this ..

you know, it's less than 1 year since this game was released...

i may have been confused

It's a weird time-reality that we currently live in.

But when I think about this release, and it's still only been ~ 1 year, it seems "not that bad;" except for the fact of the hype that this generated for so many years. That has a huge impact on impressions, for sure.
That aside, they've at least done some very good work in polishing a good amount of turds out of what was already a damn good core game and concept--consider that beloved games like Vampire:Bloodlines was broken for so horribly long, still mostly loved, and really required a community patch to fix it, years later, to make it playable by the general masses. To me, it's the same sort of thing even though I understand that publicity behind these two games, in their respective times, was certainly incomparable and have a large influence on the state in which they were released.

Still, because of that long history of expectations when big games are released and what can happen, this doesn't bother me so much. I only hope that they can weather this mess with enough support to start expanding the world a bit more

I got this patch and it has major performance issues. I'm going from 90-110fps to 60-70fps at the exact same settings. Anyone else getting that?

Honestly these patches are breaking more things than they fix at this point. The game was fine as of 1.23, the bugs don't detract from the core game. It's a good thing GOG Galaxy gives you the option to roll back a game to an older version (unlike Steam).

That's strange, I get more fps at the same quality settings but that's because they've downgraded SSR, there are noticeably less reflections now... Though there is less image graininess after these changes to SSR.

OK, so I got this game deeply discounted and patched to 1.3 and I am really enjoying it much more than I thought I would. I have the DRM free GOG version and installed in on my laptop and main PC. So far I am much more in the main game on the laptop than the main PC and once the Keanu Reeves character appears the game, IMO, really kicks in. I havent seen the pre-1.31 patch but I don't understand the hate on this game. Its large, smooth on my laptop which is using a 1660 Ti and on my main pc which is using a 1080 gtx. The game starts slow but really kicks in.

If you go in with no expectations, it's easy not to understand that hate. There was too much hype surrounding this title.

The crappy unmappable control scheme took a LOT of the fun out of it for me at least. Even without that factored in though the game is just meh IMO.

I seriously doubt I'll ever replay it (NOT the sign of a TRULY good game) and frankly I regret buying it at all.

The open-world elements continue to disappoint people even after all the patches.

still, the game isn't about that. I know, everyone wants it to be...but it was never about the open world...which really just needed to "be there." The Open World broken because of that story-driven focus...but really it's OK because CyberPunk is more of an interactive film than a GTA "fuck around and find out" sort of game.

Again, go point to point and don't linger, and this game is better than most things you've played in many years. If you don't do that, it will piss you off and probably sucks, lol.

Well, the devs told us it was going to be a huge open world experience.
I dunno. Maybe that had something to do with it.

I don't know. I'm on my fourth replay. Trying all the different endings and romancing options as a male and female. I think it's one of the best games ever.

Maybe I'll revisit the game in 6 more months .... some of my dissatisfaction here no doubt comes from the initial disappointment.

(I was hoping for steam-punk Skyrim)

I'd highly recommend anyone of you here reading this whom might still be 'on the fence' about this game to wait just a couple more months.

They'll release patch 1.5 along with the proper 'next gen' PS5 / Series X enhancements in early Q1 2022. We're maybe 2 or 3 months away max from that happening.

True, people could (or should) probably buy it now that it's on sale. But they shouldn't install nor play it until patch 1.5 comes out.

Nah, just wait till the patch comes out, see what the fuss is about, then decide if you want to buy it. Never. Ever. Buy. based on the promise of "we'll get it right this time".

There are basically digital store sales on a nearly monthly basis, and certainly on a quarterly basis. No need to buy now just for the game to languish in a backlog.
