Am I high maitenance? I was taught in customer service (been doing it for 12 years +) that you always treat the customer with respect, and always make true on your promises. CW doesn't know how to do that, which is why I made noise. But apparently they can do this because few customers have enough self-respect to demand the treatment they deserve when they hand over their money.
Wyvrn - Maybe after being customer service so long, you might agree that customers can sometimes be a little stinky. I've had the displeasure of being in customer service myself and was always simply dumb founded at how stupid and inconsiderate some of the "valued customers" can be. I tend to classify myself on the "oh whatever" side of things so it takes me quite a bit to get irritated by people. When I do get irritated it's usually just because somthing about the perpetrator that just rubs me the wrong way. They come in blasting and throwing out any sort of empathy for what the service provider might be going through. Sure, service should be perfect in all cases but sometimes this expectation just isn't realistic. It's a new world out there with far too many nasty things happening not to be nice to your fellow man...be considerate at all costs!
Now, knowing the GREAT service I and many others have gotten from Shawn and the group at CW, I might suspect this might apply in your case. Whenever I ran across somebody being stinky, I made it my mission to let them know that all this trouble would have been more pleasantly resolved if they would have just been nice. They chose to be nasty so thy get the nasty treatment. No exceptions, no special treatment, no priority and easy fixes! Because good serivce is more of an attitude, it's never really that hard to provide - just choose to give good service. When somebody comes in with an attitude, instead of all the simple little things that I could have done to make them feel a bit more welcome, I'd pull out all the stops and let them fight for any level of service...until they chose to change their smelly ways.
Be honest with yourself here and ask yourself how YOU did you come across to CW. If you were sincerely nice in your inquiries then fine, maybe the guy was just having a bad day. But if you came in blasting then you got what you deserve! We're dealing with a $4 year of web hosing here that has been wildly popular with many many many people. Repeat...it's 4 bucks! Can you see how after a couple of months of this promotion that the good fellas setting up accounts would have a relatively short wick for those that don't cut them a little slack...fo god sakes grow up! Be nice! And remember it's always true that what goes around, will come around!
