i have 2 domains hosted w/ them
i signed up in march.
support requests are taking about about 2 days through their online ticketing system
there where some issues on how their cgi is set up, read the cgi section of the forums before u upload your scripts

i'd recommend them for personal or non-business sites. (they cant be making money at these prices, u dont want a business site down for 2-3 days while u find a new host when they go out of business)
they have support forums which also include a presale question area
some of your questions may be best asked there

I paid via paypal and I haven't received anything from them yet. I have a domain, but I'm thinkin' of just hostin' it here in my home...so, I dunno...

You pay $15 if you do this:

Set-up an account for www.mydomain.com and then you decide that you like www.mynewdomain.com better. So, you ask Cyberwings to switch your account to the new domain. It is cheaper to buy a new hosting plan (although that will end soon).

You need a separate domain for each account.

Thanks! I was a little concerned because I got an e-mail response from them that had "This email confirms that you sent $3.90 to sales@cyberwings.com." at the top the last time. I bought an account for a friend and just sent him my transaction number. I wanted to make sure they had a record of the transaction.

Oh well, either way, Im gonna get it right now. The cheapest comparable host I've seen to them costs $19.99 a year, and theirs is only $3.90.

I'm not sure about other hosts. I know they charged $15 as a deterrent to switching. They said they would rather have you buy a new account. So I'd assume it must be more work to switch.

Whats the ripoff supposed to be? They use godaddy as their registar when people register at cyberwings for a domain name. Cyberwings even tell you that. So, how is that a ripoff?

You didn't read enough, it isn't a scam. The people are just slow creating the accounts since there were so many orders.
