Officemax just dropped the price to $99.99.

I price matched at Circuit City (price $199.99), 110% = $90.

It also has a $30 rebate.

B&M matching. I took a shelf tag from Office Max to Circuit City.

There are Office Max $20 coupons floating around (or you can use Staples coupons at B&M). This Bad Boy could be had for $50!

sunilJM please review the original post more carefully:

Do the terms "Shelf Tag" or "B&M" answer your questions as to where the price was verified and where it can be obtained.

I was in the networking aisle at Office Max looking for the access point and the other wireless items in the other deal and they changed the price right in front of me. They didn't have stock in that store, so I got the shelf tag and headed over to Circuit City.

I think that Dlink is clearing out a bunch of their older product and offering deals.

802.11b 11MBPS products are dropping in price because of the 22MBPS products and the 802.11a products that have just come out.

Basically, the 22MBPS procucts are being sold at the old $100-$120 per card price point (that the 11MBPS products used to sell at) and the 802.11a products are selling around $150. Thus the 11MBPS products must be cleared out.

In my opinion it just means decent wireless stuff cheap. For most people's purposes the increased bandwidth (22 vs. 11 MBPS) won't make a difference as most DSL/Cable Broadband lines are less than 4 MBPS anyway. Its all about range, and if you really intended to go down the street to the neighbors with a wireless connection your crazy. And for most people the increased range isn't worth the increased price to get 802.11a. Especially when you know the price will just come down eventually. Why not survive on cheap 802.11b stuff and then move on to 802.11a when it becomes more reasonable.

Does 802.11a also have better security? If not, the increased range just increase the chance someone can hack into your network.

i have this router... it looks *much* better than the DI-711 i had before it crapped out on me. I get noticeably better range than my 711. And if you're talking about *real-world* throughput, don't expect 11mbs. You can probably expect to get from 300-400kb a second. So if you are in a hurry and need to get files across computers, a wired LAN is still *much* faster.

good router at a great price!

note: don't expect that print server to be of much use, it doesn't work with all printers. the external modem feature is handy, but i have yet to test it out.

Just go to www.circuitcity.com and search for 713P. You'll see the standard price and the rebate.

Officemax.com still shows it as $199.99, but my local store has the price posted as $99.99.

I scanned my CC receipt. Not sure if it will help (and I didn't keep the Officemax shelf tag, the store kept it).

S-ya - what State/City are you from? I'm wondering if this is just local to my area or more widespread.

Final Total $ 91.69 ...good deal..

I still need the rebate for the 713P, because CC in my place said there is no rebate for 713P from Dlink, so the only match the price to $129 (to count for their rebate). even after they called OM and confirm the price, so can you PM me the scan of your receipt. TKS

Is the $30 rebate only if you buy at CC? Or can you just buy it at OM and get the $30 rebate?

Thanks
